There were a lot of spiders around the outdoor onsen. It’s understandable that there were creatures in the outdoor setting, but it could be scary for guests who are afraid of the spiders.

It’s a beautiful setting and the food was absolutely delicious and thoughtful. The lady who welcomed us, Yaba San, was very kind and explained all our questions about the onsen and food with perfect English. The English menu for the dinner was a great touch, and it helped us to enjoy the food even more knowing the ingredients. The presentation was exquisite, and the flavor profile and texture was creative and cohesive. The items sold in the shop were very reasonable priced and well curated. I regretted that I didn’t have the time to purchased something from the shop. Each room was design for privacy and great view of the garden/plants. I truly enjoyed the morning coffee on the little deck outside the room. We love this place so much and we would visit again in the future.

This onsen is incredibly peaceful and the food is amazing. The fact that it has several private outdoor baths makes a great place to go if you prefer a more private experience.

that would be perfect to have some kind of demo.s / explainations printed out while checking in. the staff are very nice however struggling when communicating in English

very nice yard. the rooms are nicely placed in a 'garden' alike area. feels like bracing the nature. I even saw a 'nature' crowling on my wall (small cute spider)

The onsen, while private and clean in terms of the water / pool, were quite worn down, with rotting wood and flaking paint etc. also lots of insects around the stairs and walls etc.

Everything was perfect. From the room to the food and ofc every baths outdoor and indoor. a really relaxing few days, one of the best food I had during my trip in japan. I can't recomend it enough, if you can then spend a few days at Hanafubuki. Oh and the yukata was just so comfy

This is one of my favorite places in Japan! Along the beautiful Jogasaki coast. The rooms are very comfortable, the meals are delicious and the onsens are lovely!

Loved my experience of staying here for a night. I wish I was there for one more night. The food was amazing and the chef also accommodated my dinner when they found out that I don't eat meat. Thank you!!! I had one of the best sleep and trying different onsen around was perfect. Will definitely be back.

The only suggestion I have is to provide some meal options for ordering or to sell instant foods and snacks within the hotel. My mom cannot eat cold or raw food, but the dinner, aside from rice and miso soup, most of the dishes were served cold. This is not okay for guest with healthy concerns. I do understand that make changes on menu might be difficult, but, please, at least provide some warm instant foods:)

A traditional Japanese style onsen hotel with excellent service. The dinner offers great value of money, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. It was a perfect experience for me.

Lovely place, super comfortable, the meals were excellent, and the onsens, set throughout the property, are so peaceful. Overall a great experience, very romantic, and the only downside was we only booked one night.

The walls and floors are thin so we could hear people above us and next to us a little louder than we would have liked. The food, though very well presented, was subpar in quality compared to what we had experienced anywhere else in Japan, including other restaurants in Izu-Kogen.

We loved the quiet, natural setting and the 24 hour access to private hot spring baths. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to the Izu-Kogen train station and the Jogasaki Coast hike was excellent.
