The staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. The facilities are as described. It was perfect for our stay as we planned to be out most of the day. The futons were thick and comfortable. The room has big curtains that allow the room to get almost pitch black at night. It was perfect for a good night's rest after waking all day. The showers close at 10 pm, just plan accordingly. It was under a 5 minute walk from the kawaguchiko station. We visited a few coffee shops that opened early and were within a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse.

We spent 6 nights at G.H. Guu (during which time we managed to climb Mt Fuji). The place is modern, cosy and welcoming with an up-market hostel feel.. We stayed in the standard double room (room 206) and found it comfortable, quiet, and very spacious. There were several shower rooms and toilets, so sharing those facilities was never a problem. We used the well-equipped kitchen often. Throughout the guesthouse are many nice touches and thoughtful features... it has been carefully and intelligently planned. The location just a few hundred metres from the busy train/bus station is surprisingly calm and quiet. For us, we enjoyed a wonderful stay.

There was a weird smell in the room we had. When the air conditioning was on it was fine but turn it off and the smell comes back.

Location is super - a few steps from station so you get everywhere fast and easy (there is no public transport- only touristic busses that stop around 5-6pm). Besides, it really clean even for Japanese standards. Highly recommend.

This was the best accommodation during our Japan trip! It had everything we needed and more. We liked our tatami room, the futons were comfortable, there were enough bathrooms and toilets, fridge, toiletries, etc. The whole guesthouse was very clean and quiet. Perfect location too - only two minute walk from the bus/train station but on a quiet side street. Price is very reasonable for this area.

The facilities were pretty basic

Our Economy Double Room was large, by Japanese standards and the Guest House was kept clean. The other guests were quiet and respectful. We never had to wait for a bathroom or shower, but there would be sometimes be a short line for the sinks. We did not utilize the kitchen or laundry facilities. The location was great - just a short walk to the train station and to Lake Kawaguchiko.

Everything was excellent. The staff, the cleaning, the location, the facilities. It was perfect. Beds were confy, our room has a view to Mt Fuji. Recommended 100%.
