The host grandma is super friendly, the room was above and over my expectations, I can even see the ocean and sunrise from the room. The room is super clean and set up comfortably. The bathroom and sink, and toilet is shared, but it is super clean, and is equipped with all the essentials, such as shower and bath wash, toothbrush, lotion, hair brush, and more. And there is also a microwave and a kettle for use. The location is great, right around the corner from the station, and really close to the beach and shore too. Highly recommend for the price, great for solo travel.

I almost never leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for this place — it’s a true hidden gem that everyone should know about. It was by far my favorite accommodation during my one-month trip in Japan. It feels like staying at your grandma’s house — warm, peaceful, and full of charm. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and having a private room at the end of my trip (instead of dorms) was such a treat — especially since the price is pretty much the same. The owner is kind and helpful, the bathroom gives off Studio Ghibli vibes, and the futon on tatami was more comfortable than any other I tried in Japan. I absolutely loved my stay and highly recommend this place!

Close to train stations, the host is lovely and helpful, would have done anything to make the stay more comfortable. Onsen style bath was lovely. Can watch the sunrise over the ocean.

She waited us to come back during the night time before she went to sleep. Even though she can barely speak English but she still making her effort to try to communicate with us. The extremely noisy group of guests in the next room... But I was so tired that I fell asleep with no trouble, and they were so loud I'd probably have been able to hear them even if the walls were thicker anyway. And there's nothing I don't like about the property itself!

I stayed at this property two years ago, and I loved it so much that I set my heart on staying here again whenever I next came back to Atami. And I loved it just as much this time! Even a little bit more, in fact, because this time I was given a room key, and when I stayed two years ago the only thing I didn't like was that you could only lock your room from the inside. My room was big, clean, and comfortable, the ocean view was beautiful, and I was impressed by how well-equipped the shared bathroom was with toiletries and hair styling equipment. The owner is so kind and friendly, and I was very happy to see her (and her cats) again! I hope I can come back for a third stay in future.

The room was so lovely and our lady (I am very sorry that I cannot speak Japanese!) was so kind and welcoming. I am travelling in Japan for 6 weeks and despite all my bags she was really lovely! Facilities are better than the photos make out. It was very clean and everything you could need and more - don’t waste space with towels and face wash!!! The traditional style of the Inn was charming and we really appreciated the lovely, friendly and welcoming host. The location is fairly good as only about 7mins from the station. The beach is about 15minutes walk.

Be aware that there is no parking at the guesthouse. We arrived by foot from the train station and the following day picked up our rental car after checkout. There may be an option to park at a nearby public lot, it would be worth asking the host.

Convenient location, walkable distance from the train station. Quiet location, lovely garden setting, and a comfortable family sized room located upstairs in the beautiful wooden guest house. Host was very kind and helpful. So much more character staying someplace like this versus a hotel.

Typical you have to count on individual A/C unit in the room. So understandable usually still can be cold at winter and hot in summer. I got extra blanket and wear my down jacket even in the room. Hot bath definitely helps.

Property location 6min left of Atami Station. Uphill about 20m walk so not too bad. Very home feeling and the host lady is very friendly. We used google translate to communicate and it worked. Room is clean. I booked the family room with its own bathroom and shower/bathtub so very good for the price . Highly recommend taking free shuttle bus from train station to visit Fuua the Occen view onsen. I had great time there.

Do you charge extra for the hot spring bath? I did not see any such advertisement.

The room overlooked the ocean. It was a traditional tatami room, very simple and spacious. Nice and clean, very quiet as it was off the main street. Very close to cafes and the train station. I went there specifically for the onsite hot spring bath and home-like stay, rather than a hotel.
