The guesthouse is at the top of the hill, just at the firts steps of the Nakasendo trail. Very beatiful and relaxing village. The accommodation has been renewed recently. The manager is very pleasant and helpful.

Really cozy guest house in the picturesque town of Magome. Very friendly host. The guest host has a cozy common area and a separate sleeping area. Perfect stop if you are going to hike the Magome pass as it is just at the start of the trail.

excellent place and host. place very tranquil at night. host fluent in english with fast response time. picked our luggage up when we arrived by bus from Takayama, so we could start our hike to Tsumago immediately. drove our luggage to the train station when we left so we could have a morning walk to the cobble stone path as well. Safed us from missing our train (thank you again Mika!). Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at Guesthouse Nedoko. The view from our room was amazing, looking over the beautiful green hills. Our room wasn't too big but just perfect for us, also wanted to mention the great communication from the host and helping us with dinner reservations.

Not so much about the host nor property. However, FYI, the bedroom doors are thin; thus, sound insulation are poor. Had an unfortunate incident that other guests woke up early and made a lot of noise (talking, dragging their bag, etc). So, if you are a light sleeper, ear plugs will be helpful.

Wonderful stay. Mika, the owner, was very friendly, helpful and responsive. She helped me to secure a wonderful vegetarian dinner when I arrived in Magome. Mika’s home is lovingly restored, cozy, clean and comfortable. Despite having to share bathroom, all of the common facilities are kept clean and tidy. I highly recommend Mika’s place for anyone coming to Magome.

I have no complaints.

Peaceful, exceptionally clean and organized. Some rooms have a view of the valley forest. The hosts were friendly and responds well to inquiries, assisted when we needed to call a taxi at the end of our stay. They can help reserve dinner at local restaurants; Haginoya is amazing.

Very tidy and beautiful and along the Nakasendo Valley trail. Please do not bring your wheel luggage as there is a steep climb from the bus stop on a cobbled trail to the accomodation. Host can arrange for luggage pickup if you need, though

In The middle of the beautiful town Magome…. Great location with easy access to a cafe and other restaurants. Super friendly staff. Extremely clean. Comfortable beds ( we had bunker beds). The owner was fast in responding questions during my booking.
