The host was lovely, very welcoming and talkative. She was also very helpful for me during my first stay in Kamakura. The facilities were comfortable, and the location was very peaceful. It's easily accessible by public transport.

No wifi

Kind hostess and innkeeper Mis.Lan was very warm and welcoming. The house itself was immaculate and her sociable nature was very warm and breakfast was a dream.

The location was a short way out from the centre so you needed to be switched on about public transport

the lady, ran-san was amazing and very welcoming we had talks and went together to the supermarket and she cooked us breakfast the next morning felt like she was my grandma

note that the bathroom and showers are SHARED with other guests and the walls are thin so you hear everything also the location is far and up the hill. good for burning calories though

Ran-san, the manager, was very friendly and nice to talk to (I speak Japanese). She doesn't speak English, but manages to communicate through apps and makes an effort to ensure you have a nice stay in her home. Her home cooked breakfasts are great and the property is very clean.

The location is a bit far on foot, especially if you have luggage. The bus can shorten the trip but there is still a bit of a walk and a final hill - would recommend it primarily for the young and healthy. While I was there the other guests were friendly and quiet, but sound does penetrate the walls, so there is not much privacy.

The host was lovely and helped me practice my Japanese. The breakfast was great. We asked for a Japanese style breakfast, so we got miso soup, eggs in soy sauce and onigiris.

The location on booking got us to the wrong place, and the listing on booking said the room had 2 beds, but when we arrived there was only one bed. Both problems were solved by the host.

Although the host does not speak English she could not be more helpful. The jewell in the Crown is indeed 'Landis'.

The second night the place was full and with shared bathroom and toilet it was a long wait.

It was an amazing stay! I felt very pampered and cared for. The host is solicitous, energetic, kind, and considerate.

Very cozy and clean guest house. The lady who runs the place is very kind and charming. The breakfast is not much, but very delicious. Furthermore, snacks, ice cream and drinks are available. Really great service!

We spent three days and two nights with a small new born baby. The most noteworthy thing we liked was the homely atmosphere presented to us there.

The wifi was not working. The parking was in a very congested place which was troublesome. The room was not very spacious. The room didn’t have any view.

great location, only an 11 minute easy walk to Kotokuin-In temple. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The host was wonderful, he gave us lots of information and was extremely helpful and kind. Having a level of understanding of Japanese is almost essential, as host speaks very little English.

The parking is limited but this is not really anyone’s fault. If you stay I recommend either walking/using buses or bringing only a small car. check with host first.
