Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe room is old, but it's not a big deal. Price per night is reasonable. Besides I got a rather big room.So my friend and I are not too crowded.
Location is very good. Near the center but in the more quiet section. Accessible to bus stops and train station. Breakfast is very simple but ok. Don Quijote is near for shopping. Omachi nishi koen is near and aoba dori is near.

GermanyThe coupons for breakfast seemed to be unnecessary, since there was nobody to check the coupon and the guests just put it in a box.
I could leave my luggage at the hotel before check-in time. The room was very large and had a electric water kettle that also had a warm-keeping function. New tea bags were provided every day. Breakfast was very simple with toast and butter rolls, butter, strawberry jam and orange marmelade, eggs, coffee, tea and instant corn soup. Bus stations were close. Reservation system for the coin laundry.

JapanThe hotel looks a bit old. It need some renovation. The view from my window was not good, it was towards a haunted building and it looked creepy at night. Breakfast is small but enough to energise you. However, the view from the window is a parking lot with signs “do not pee”. It also felt strange. Also, the building shares space with a ramen restaurant and at night, there’s some smell of garbage
I really appreciate the staff. They do an amazing work. They are always to help and answer any questions. The location is good and you are in the middle of Sendai downtown. There are various choices of dinings and cafes around, plus many touristic spots

BelgiumThe breakfast is very simple and limited to bread, marmalade, strawberry jam, hard boiled eggs, and the usual drinks. If you go to breakfast a little later, however, some of those things may already be used up, and there doesn't seem to be anyone that comes to check up on it, so it stays empty. Despite the room being comfortable, I do feel like the price tag of the room doesn't fit. The rooms are rather old-looking, and the electricity plugs are placed inconveniently as well. The floor of the room being made with carpet also made the room feel less clean than I would have liked.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. They really care about their guests and remember their faces and room number to make daily interactions easier. The beds are really big and comfortable, and the bathroom is relatively large and comes with towels, toothbrushes and soaps. The location is amazing and very convenient. In just a few minutes you can reach the heart of Sendai. I really fell in love with the city, and this hotel added to the charm of it

JapanNot sure how, but my room had some strong scent of smoke even If it had been cleaned. I thought it could come from outside as I was on a smoking floor, so I blocked the door with a towel, tuned the air/con AND the air purifier and it still lingered a bit. was better the second night. Opening the window also helped.
Location was good, and there was free coffee at the front with a proper coffee machine. The room was a decent size and the staff was nice. Also the breakfast was a nice addition.

Hong KongIt is a bit far away from the Sendai JR station, around 30min on foot or 10min by taxi. This is not a problem for me to walk, but may be difficult for young kids or elderly.
The staff is very helpful. Even they didn't speak fluent English, they tried hard to communicate with body language and Google translate. I did laundry and left a sock in the drying machine, the staff took it back to me. I really appreciate their effort and service. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have adapter to borrow. They have free simple breakfast. The hotel is near a big shopping arcade which operates 24 hours, where you can buy souvenirs and daily necessities at an economic price. There are also numerous restaurants and shopping malls at walking distance.
