Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRooms are small (fine for Tokyo) but too crowded with furniture and lack proper clothes hanger. I would suggest to replace the room refrigerator with a small closet. Room cleaning could also improve a bit. And they may consider a better system for the laundry machines. For instance could ask for the room number for follow up with guests to ensure people timely withdraw their clothes for others to use the machines.
Staff, unpretentious modern ambience and great location

Philippinesbed design is a bit bad. u cant sit on bed with your foot touching the floor due to the wood barrier on the side. if they could change the design and remove the wood barrier on the bottom bed it might be perfect.
common space was very spacious and perfect for travelling remote workers. Locker is big enough and can fit many clothes.

JapanThe bathrooms get stuffy because there's not much air flow
They've put a lot of thought into the interior and aesthetics, which made it feel warm and sophisticated. The cafe makes excellent food, the staff are friendly, and the facilities are great. I especially liked that I could choose to sit in the cafe area or the social area, which was large and well arranged.

VietnamThere is 1 front desk staff who seems speak english better than other staffs and senior, she didn't smile and look at customer when communicate. I feel cold from the hotel rather than warmly welcome.
The design of the ground floor with coffee area, sitting on the porch, eating breakfast and coffee issues so peaceful. The staffs at cafeteria was nice. They offered free craft beers from 6-7pm which is cool.

United StatesClean, comfortable, nice amenities and staff. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Graphs Nezu. It’s very cute and in a very unique location in the middle of a neighborhood. Convenient for east side if Tokyo sites and very close to Ueno Park. Transit is convenient and there are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance. The neighborhood is very chill at which I loved.

CanadaEverything was fabulous. Loved the full sized lockers, the nice shampoo and conditioner in the shower, the free beer happy hour. I also loved the neighbourhood in a slightly quieter but still central area of Tokyo. The cafe was nice and I loved their matcha lattes. Staff was helpful, let me check in early and stored my bags safely after I checked out. They provided fresh towels every day.

PolandOne tiny downfall was the construction which is happening from June till September. This wasn’t written anywhere. We were only informed after arrival. But we have been here earlier this year and it was a blast :)
Nice, large rooms. Awesome breakfast. Best staff ever! Huuuge common area with snooker, kitchen area - available for everyone. And happy hour with beer for free ;) What more can you dream for? ;)

Great communication, close to a park, museums and metro station. Nice, relaxed atmosphere - somewhere between a youth hostel and a hotel. Far away from hustle and bustle of Central Tokyo, yet very Well connected

AustraliaThe room smelled of stale moisture, we could see the wall paper peeling off and had to keep the window open at all times. Plus the aircon was a bit dusty. The bed was squeaky.

GermanyWalls can be thin, and rooms thus noisy if you are directly on street level.
One of the nicest and most helpful staff I ever encountered. Perfect for at least weekly stay esp if you need to do some remote work in the lobby. Full amenities in the room, and great breakfast options. Prices are very decent for what you get. Overall design is cool, clean and smooth, and some rooms can include bathrooms. Location wise, hard to judge: very practical if you need to stay in Ueno though a bit of a walk from the station, otherwise Nezu is very cute and underrated local area.

SpainNothing really, especially for the price it was a great stay and we’d return.
We adored the area! So lovely, next to Ueno park with lots of green and museums, and a residential neighbourhood full of older smaller houses but also many tiny restaurants and cute shops. The hostel had a nice modern design, comfy beds (if a bit small, but we managed) nice breakfast (the chowder and the pancakes were great filling day starters) and a small thing but I really appreciated the cloth refresher spray! Staff was friendly and helpful too. Thanks for everything Nezu!

AustraliaI found the mattress / pillow to be too thin. My two accommodation since had better ones. This meant I slept quite poorly. The price of hostel dorm is not much cheaper than budget hotel, but when you consider the facilities it is still good value here.
This is a nicely designed hostel. The complementary beer at 6pm is nice and facilities are good. It is a nice neighbourhood and close to subway station. The staff are lovely. I found the breakfast was good too. Large lockers to store bags are convenient. Washing clothes was easy although the drier is slower than I would like.
