Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongNext to the hotel is a nightlife street; you might be approached or solicited by strangers when going out at night. The hotel facilities are generally quite old. The front desk staff's English proficiency is not very good. The hotel does not provide a toothbrush and shaving set.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. Near a shopping street, convenient for shopping, with many restaurants. The window soundproofing is very good.

JapanThe room is very narrow.
The location is very good. The breakfast is available for 1000 JPY/day and it really deserves. The staff were very cooperative. There is also a luggage storage service after checkout which is very helpful if you have something to do before travelling.

BelgiumIt was a bit annoying that the room main light was automatically switched on when we activated the electricity for the room, and the bed was not the most comfortable.
The location was great, with an easy access to Sendai train station and the city centre. The staff was friendly, and everything we could have needed was provided (towels, water bottles, vending machine,...)

GermanyThere is close to no air in the room. It's like a coffin. The AC is useless Even if you rent out tools to open the windows the air doesn't really get better. I can't imagine how bad it must be in Summer. The hotel staff worker on the day of Check in was very unfriendly and cold. She's not Japanese, I'm not sure from which country, but this worker is no good.
Lots of things to rent out including DVD Players. The hotel looks good. If that is your thing you have a direct access to Starbucks next door. The TV can easily be moved to different positions. You get two bottles of free water for every day that you skip room cleaning. I know this system from Hotel Crown Hills by the same company.

JapanMattress was hard and chair cushions in the room seam to have worn out. Lack of plug sockets in the room. Position of TV was strange in relation to bed. (This is more surprise than didn’t like)

GermanyThe breakfast was lacking a bit, especially more fruits and vegetables would have been nice.
The location was very good, being near the train station as well as close to the night life.

JapanI could hear the neighbor snoring loudly on one night. This means the walls must be thin and there is not enough soundproof for privacy and comfort. The rest is okay.
The location is so strategic, near the lively area of Kokubuncho and all the recommended Sendai restaurants.

IndiaShelves were rather dusty, and seems that cleaning done only if you specifically ask during the stay. Staff though very helpful, not always English speaking. It would be really nice if breakfast items are labelled in English.
Good location.. next to an area with lots of restaurants and at walking distance from train station and castle. Sufficient breakfast selection. Lot of additional amnesties available at the lobby.

AustraliaIt seems to be near a red light district that has loud music at night. I was worried it would be difficult to sleep, but luckily it wasn’t after all - it may bother some people though.
Really great location right near a major shopping arcade and many restaurants. While it’s a bit of a walk to Sendai station, it’s a really good walk, and there’s a subway station quite close as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the twin room I booked as Japanese hotel rooms are often quite small, so we had plenty of room. I like the classic/retro feel of the decor a lot and the staff were friendly.

NetherlandsThe room was old and dirty looking. Non smoking room but everything was yellow with burn holes in the carpet. The bathroom had mold in it and smelled not nice. The beds were like cardboard. The airconditioning is chosen by the hotel and can't be set lower, the last night was like a sauna and unbearable. The windows do not open so it was not possible to get so fresh air in or cool down the room. Please save yourself the hassle and don't go here.
The staff was friendly and you got free water bottles every day. The location was also really central.
