Some of the rest room were dirty but it’s a camp site so pretty standard. Our cabin didn’t have a toilet so we had to use the communal toilets and be aware they are squat toilets so may not suit westerners

The cabins were cute with a great view and staff were friendly. Bedding was more comfortable than some other areas.

Bathroom facilities weren’t cleaned once while I was there for 2 nights. Didn’t use the showers because of this. Futon could have done with an extra layer of cushioning, was quite thin.

Cabin was clean and bug free. Nice view and peaceful area. Very good and strong wifi, surprisingly.

Bathrooms were not clean, cabin was run down - fly screen fell off, outside table was missing the middle piece.

Having the option to have a fire and to cook outside was a bonus, cabins are a little run down, but comfortable for an overnight stay - bathroom was a little unkept. I would probably stay elsewhere; it wasn't worth what they charged.

Property looks quite old and not very clean compared to to other stays we lodged during the trip. There is no shower room in the unit as we initially thought we have paid for the unit with toilet (which we thought shower room is included as well). Price is kinda over the mid high range, and not public transport accessible. Come here only if you drive.

Staff is nice and polite. Recommended us for good food in the area.

The very large distance between the toilet and the bathroom and the room was very uncomfortable. Especially in light of the cold this season and when you had to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The lighting outside was not sufficient. The heating in the room was not enough, there was no hot water in the sink, the mattress was not comfortable (and I have slept in a number of very comfortable ryokans before)

The location is good within a tourist area, the staff is pleasant and happy to help

The communal bathroom facilities need immediate repair and attention as they were dirty and the lights did not work. As well as the appliances in each cabin. Our Air conditioning started to catch fire after plugging it in so we upgraded to the bigger cabin which was nicer. Inside the cabin were some signs of mold buildup especially in the kitchen areas. The wood deck seems to be dealing with some rotting wood which can become very dangerous. The refrigerator in the upgraded cabin was broken, and had not been cleaned well which lead to a horrible odor which made it unusable. Over all because of the view, it made the stay much more enjoyable. If the facilities were repaired and appliances were maintained better it would have made this a 5 star rating. The management was also very kind and worked quickly with the problems we had on arrival.

The view was absolute amazing, quite and close to attractions in the area

This was way to expensive for the quality of the amenities. We had a simple cabin with a shared bathroom in another building. Both the men and women bathrooms were very dirty. The futon we were given to sleep on had (many) stains on them and were very thin. We had to pay extra for everything, like leaving a bag of trash or using the kitchen.

The view was nice and the staff was friendly.

Only bummer was the futons were overly thin, but hey... its camping!

Very cool place.. All the required items and facilities. Great "vibe". We only stopped over for the night so we were not able to make good use of the location.

The family cabin we had was very run down and downright unsafe. The toilet moved when you sat down, had animal (gecko?) poo all over it, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time around the seat. The shower was on the balcony, had no light in it so you had to leave the door open, had exposed wires taped up and jutting out, and it was very difficult to step in/out of the retrofitted booth. The balcony was so dirty you couldn't sit out on it. The kitchen was filthy, it had a rusty, greasy, fan on the wall, electrical wires running through the sink tap hole, grease splashes all over the walls and a large hole in one wall that was taped up. There were no curtains on the window facing the site's toilet/shower blocks so there was no where to get changed in private. Finally, you get into bed to make check out time come sooner and the futons are as thin as paper so you don't sleep.

The views from the cabin were superb and the remote location is a lovely disconnect.

No shower or bathroom, you have to walk outside your room about 10-20 m. for showering. And no tea cups but you have a kettle. No pan and pot but you have stove. And no rubbish bin at a camp, you have to take all your rubbish with you when you check out if not you have to pay.

The location is good for staying during Aso Mt. and Takachiho, easy to buy food at the local shops and restaurants. The place is very closed to the natural but safe. You should selected the room which have a toilet but it is expensive.

Hygiene was really bad. Floor, futon and tatami was dirty, there were insects everywhere. No proper toiletries provided. We asked for towels and those provided were stained. Cups were also stained. We upgraded to bungalow with toilet, only to realised toilet and bathroom were separate. Had to walk to main building for shower, especially inconvenient for families when it's cold and raining outside.

Right in the heart of nature. Pretty sakura tree right at the doorstep. They had heater in the room that could warm the room sufficiently in the cold.
