It is a bit cold inside the room and there is no heater inside. Also the electricity is sometimes fluctuating. Hopefully by this time their electricity is okay by now. 😉

The young teens are friendly and accomodating. Utensils kitchen and toilet is clean and organized.

They should definitely add curtains on the window. Especially when you know how early the sun gets up in Japan. At least, you should be aware of it and bring an eyemask if the daylight easily wakes you up.

The house is traditional and very lovely, all the more since it has a garden. It's also conveniently located. Moreover, the young people who run the place are very friendly and welcoming. As for the bedroom itself, it was lovely and the futons were comfortable.

They are very prompt to remind you that checkout time. Call received 10.01am to remind. U cannot sit in the lobby for too long. Weather was bad raining heavily was asked to leave after checkout.

A guesthouse run by few universities students. It's affordable and the location is near to get to lake Kawaguchiko. The only issue I would like to bring up is the kitchen need to be tidy up.

At the moment they experience a power challenge, so it wasn’t possible to use both the stove and the extractor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the Japanese styled rooms and the availability of the board games. Location is very close to the station and convenience stores which was a big plus, since it rained a lot

It was a bit dusty and there were spider webs in the room. Also, we were there in November and the room was really cold. We used two heaters and it was barely ok. Hot water “disappeared “ mid shower. Definitely not a pleasant feeling when the rooms are already cold and then you need to shower with cold water as well

I don't speak japanese and some of them english, so I miss some informations I would need. But they did the best and normally It's for me to adapt myself.

The guesthouse in all aspects, all is clean, traditional room is very wonderful, and the price was attracted for a student like me. ありがとう

We came back to the guesthouse midday but we were unaware that there would be no staff available at that time to let us back in to our rooms. Please notify us in advance or via email if access will be limited on certain times/days.

The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and open to getting to know their guests. Despite a language barrier we played fun board games together. Rooms were classic tatami style with sliding doors and soft mats. We also appreciated how well the air conditioning worked. Communication was very responsive via email.

This time we came during winter so it was quite difficult to warm the room and the halls, bathroom and kitchen were super duper cold. Sadly we couldn't fill the bathtub (public bath is 15mn away but it's so cold on the way back it's really discouraging!) Because of the architecture of this traditional house, when a fellow guest turns on his light, we get light beaming in our room as well. Some walls are made of very thin paper walls so if you're watching a movie at night you may distrub your neighbours too. These things are normal for a Japanese traditional style house of course, but foreigners may be surprised!

Such a beautiful, beautiful house and very nice staff. Lots of cool games to play at night, a good kitchen and a garden! Very close to the train station but very quiet as well. All in all we had a lovely stay and we'd love to come back in springtime!

It is ran by really friendly students, although they do not speak perfect English they are really helpful. Staying here give you a chance to experience Japan in a different ways compare to only staying in hotel and touristy spot. It is not in a city center or the main attraction spot but it is quite convenient!
