The host came to greet us and fixed minor defects.

The parking is not on location. The house is a bit run-down and not as clean as other places in Japan.

There is very good experience to stay at traditional Japanese house. Owner is good and come to help on checking the heater and provide additional power extension.

It is a traditional style house and gave a nostalgic feeling, the toilets were updated to a newer style so that was nice, we enjoyed the stay. The owner was responsive and the instructions were clear.

The kitchen was old and the fridge could have been cleaned better. There was tea available but no coffee. It is off the beaten path so you do need your own car to arrive. Cars are necessary to get to the nearest convenience store also.

It was a historic beautiful house that suits every traveler who seeks Japanese tradition. At the small bay within a short walk the breathtaking view of Mt,Fuji was greeting us and became the highlight of my trip. The people near the village were honest, and friendly and they gave us free local brand Mikan many times. We enjoyed looking around the Sunday market and got fresh and good price local fish for dinner. The owner was always nice and helpful and responded fast. It is always hard part to manage the temperature in a historic house in winter, but we were pretty comfortable in kitchen and living area in the house.

We stayed here for the Christmas holiday. Even though the owner set plenty of heaters, the room temperature in the bedrooms was not pleasant, but it was not a deal breaker. The hospitality from the owner was perfect, and he made the futons before arrival which was great. The only I wanted one improve was the mere scent that came from the futons which annoyed me because I am long time carrier of chemical scent allergy.

It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to stay at a traditional Japanese house. The owner has prepared lots of cooking utensils which has an option to cook and stay in the house at slow pace. It's also happy to use the kotatsu.

It's much easier if bathroom washing tap also modernised like the one in kitchen.
