Mari is a great host and goes out of her way to treat you well and give you a good experience. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable. I got to go to a couple of Mari's farms early in the morning which was beautiful, and also a local onsen. Her farms are organic, and you should be able to try the produce if you have dinner or breakfast there! When I told Mari about my plans for the next day, she even organised with some of her volunteers who were interested in going to the same place to go with me and drive me there, which was really kind and helpful. The surrounding area is peaceful and I really enjoyed it as a quick getaway from the city.

    Property response:

Thank you very much for the feedback!! I’m happy to know you have enjoyed. I would like to host people like you. Those who like to relax, enjoy the nature and make friends in the countryside. Thank you again!! Hope to see you again.

    Nothing.

The dust in the space, comfort, privacy. While there’s doors, there were no locks.

Really nice good quality bedding for futon style, good cotton covers very relaxing. The host drove us to the local onsen which was lovely. We’re traveling as a family, but we didn’t experience the farm life or home cooked meals here.

I think because the hosts are busy parents with lots of work going on the property was a bit messy and dirty, and our room was dusty. The guesthouse also smelt and felt damp. It felt un-lived in and strange, so I do feel like the price was a bit high for what we personally got.

If you visit around the cherry blossom bloom (first week of April), you can walk just 400m to the BEST field of cherry blossoms. Better than anything in Kyoto. It is a huge field lined with amazing trees. We were there for hours on a beautiful sunny day and did not see a single other person. Unreal.

Comfortable bed and cosy space. It was an enjoyable experience of the Japanese countryside. I rented an e-bike from the guesthouse and cycled to a cafe, restaurant, forest and river. The area is filled with many rice fields. Mari also brought us to Tsu one night to catch crabs.
