Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBreakfast is cleared at 10am, with final seating at 9:30, our family likes to sleep in so it was hard to get there on time. Also, do not pay extra for the ocean views, its expensive and the view was still mostly trees with a sliver of ocean, very disappointed by this. Dinner has 4 options, all requiring reservations, and 3 of the options are coursed or buffet only. Didn't love this, would like more a la carte dining options, especially traveling with kids who don't eat much.
Overall, it's a beautiful resort with a great view of the ocean. Snorkeling at/around the resort is GREAT and we've snorkeled in a lot of places! Swimming area is decently sized and netted to protect swimmers from jellyfish. Breakfast buffet is good not great, decent variety, but crowded. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

We made the mistake of booking a hotel in the other side of the island and didn’t have our international license. We had to switch last minute but wished we had just booked it right out. The property was huge but had everything you could need. We had a week full of sunshine and play and our kids had the time of their lives. The breakfast and dinner buffets were mediocre at best but for my kids it was wonderful. We did try the Chinese rest on premise and it was quite good too! Anything we wanted to get to off the premises was easy with the amount of taxis coming and going. Would definitely stay again and wish I had just booked it the first time around!

PortugalThe waiting list for breakfast. Limited options for lunch.
The pool an water park for the kids. The connection between the pool and beach was also very convenient. The dinner as buffet also have a lot of options what was nice. Having the facilities with filtered water and washing machines was also a plus. Having the included bus shuttle between airport and the resort was also great!

PortugalThe Swimming pools were not supported by bars. To drink cocktails i had to go each time to the bar at the recption of the hotel. The dinners, especially the Barbecue one, is VERY expensive, do not worth it.
We really enjoyed the hotel, the swimming pools and the super breakfast. The sunset view on the sea is perfect

United StatesThis place was incredible. So much to do and see, and memories made that will last a lifetime. They did a great job of encapsulating the nature of Ishigaki Island. Really nice area for beach walks and out of the city enough to just chill for a while. I had a great time.

SwitzerlandThere is not much you can do other than staying at the pool and eating at one of the restaurants for breakfast/dinner or at the cafe near the pool during lunch hours and maybe the spa and onsen hot bath. The resort seems to be catered mostly to families with children, so don't expect much in terms of activities.
Breakfast was great, especially at the Ishigaki Bold Kitchen restaurant. They had plenty of variety and always fresh local fruit (pineapple, dragon fruit, banana). The outdoor swimming pools were nice even though at times busy with many children playing. They offer quite a few activities at the beach including Jetski riding and glass bottom boat tours in the waters nearby the resort.

JapanI wish they didn't let people drink alcohol at the beach, especially in the morning. Some drunk guests were disturbing
I really loved this place! Felt like a little oasis in the middle of the ocean. The resort has literally everything, so you can enjoy great food, pools, the beach, spa, etc., and you don't even need to leave the premises if you don't want to or if the weather is bad. They have a couple of restaurants in the resort and I highly recommend trying them all, especially Hanare, as the food was delicious. The hotel has a free shuttle bus from/to the airport which was very convenient! If the time is not suitable for you and you take a taxi, it will cost you less than 4,000 yen. Another pleasant surprise for me was the vouchers for 500 and 1000 yen which you can get if you ask the cleaning staff to skip cleaning your room on some days of your stay, or if you only ask them to change the towels. They give the vouchers at the checkout but if you still have time you can use them at their restaurants, spa/reflexology, rentals or the resort shops.

HungaryExpensive onsite dinner. The beach is nice but nothing extra (nothing to really see while snorkeling). If you want to check out other places in the island, get a car. Taxi service at the hotel is impeccable (you can preorder etc) but getting back was a struggle.
We were there during the Easter long weekend in mid-April and it was not too busy at all. Amazing service from the staff although English was a struggle. Beautiful resort, our room was spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the free shuttle to the airport (although unfortunately upon arrival from Osaka the last shuttle for the day already left).

IsraelFrom 8:00 in the morning you have to wait 20 to enter the dining room always. The fittings in the rooms are from the 80s. I would expect a hotel of this level to replace the yellow taps and bathtubs with something more innovative or up-to-date.
Perfect, no words!

Only complain: the day we left we couldn’t have breakfast the buffet was was over crowed with a long wait (it was golden wee) there was no alternative to enjoy the super breakfast, what a pity!!!
