Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe room had a strange smell when we got in, maybe closed for too long, or a previous guest smoked inside. Also the toilet was not great, but after we pointed out, they cleaned the toilet and it was all good.
The location was great and the room big for japanese standards. Had a kitchenet area that we did not use, but it was nice. The bed was confortable. As a couple with a kid, they added a bed from the. sofa, very convenient and the only place in Japan to have it.

JapanCompared to our first stay we enjoyed this stay a bit less. This time we were given a room on the third floor. The room had a kitchen which we didn’t need but were happy to have. However, the kitchen floor was dirty. There was an obvious spill that hadn’t been properly cleaned up. The toilet smelled of smoke and poop, even though we had done neither and the smell lasted the entire two days we were there. It was difficult to brush our teeth or shower because of the smell. The filter on the fan in the shower was FILTHY. It was furry, there was so much dust on it. It was pretty disgusting. In order to shower we needed to stand directly underneath it. The first night it literally haunted my dreams. But my husband said let’s just suck it up. So I did. The bedding was also slightly dirty. My son found some dust bunnies in his bed and both comforters has some small stains that looked like blood. It didn’t look fresh and looked like it had been laundered so we didn’t ask for a replacement. The air filter in the room lit up red or yellow about 90 percent of the time and so I don’t think the air was very clean, which may have been from the air conditioner. So in terms of cleanliness this time I would give it 6 or 7 out of 10. That being said overall the hotel is very clean. If they could have cleaned our room better I would have given it 10/10 and to be fair we didn’t ask for them to clean it again. I’m sure if we had requested it they would have come and cleaned up. At any rate I’m sure we will stay there again the next time we have an event at Tokyo Dome.
We stayed here in February and liked it so much that we booked it again for May. The location is perfect for going to events at Tokyo Dome, which is what we’re doing both times. The hotel is close to the station and conveniences stores. Not too far away is an amazing little coffee shop. So location wise 10/10. We didn’t really interact with the staff but the interaction we did have was just fine.

United KingdomNo house keeping(was told at check in). View from window was …a wall (wasn’t expecting ocean view or to see whole Tokyo but some sky would have been nice). Self laundry takes forever + works only with coins (no bank notes, cards or suica)
Very clean on arrival! Free to use umbrellas then return. Self laundry on site. Friendly staff.

South AfricaI would have preferred that a mid-stay cleaning service, change of towels, better pillows and the option of an airport transfer is made available. The bathroom also had a moldy smell which I don’t believe is acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
Location, clean bedding and room area, and friendly and helpful staff at reception.

BangladeshThe location of the hotel was almost 11 minutes (including 3 boring zebra crossings) away from Iidabashi Station.
The room we got was of decent size considering Tokyo standard. There was a smoking zone dedicated for the hotel guests at the ground floor. Again, considering the limited availability of smoking locations in Tokyo, it is an added point for guests, who are smokers.

CanadaSmells. Sewage smell in bathroom stunk up so bad. The bathroom fan didn't help get rid of the smell. Toilet paper is super thin. Towel is small and thin. The bed is hard, I wish there is a mattress topper. Windows are smoked, no view. Need more luggage stand. One for 3 people room is not enough. And the stand is too small to support big suitcases.
Clean, good location, staff services, accommodate more than 3 people in a room. A decent sized TV. Aircon and air filter works. Courier pickup service at the front desk. The staff mediated well when other customers were laud past midnight. Without their help, we wouldn't have any sleep that night.

AustraliaGreat hotel , modern and clean with relatively spacious rooms with great set up. Our room had a mini kitchen with a microwave and a kettle , cups and small spoons . There were no plates which would have made it perfect , but we got by. Beds were very comfortable. There’s a great supermarket across the road and train station is about 8 minutes walk with fairly easy commute to all major attractions in Tokyo. Would highly recommend, especially for families

The purpose of our trip was to see a concert at Tokyo Dome. We arrived the day before and went to Kidzania. The hotel was an easy ride from Kidzania and walking distance from Tokyo Dome, without the high prices of hotels close to Tokyo Dome. The room was fairly big considering the fact it’s an inexpensive Tokyo hotel. Three people fit comfortably and there was room to open our suitcase. It is very clean and simple hotel, absolutely no frills but we didn’t need any. We are coming back for two more concerts in May/June and have already booked this hotel again for those dates. I think this will be our go to hotel for any concerts at Tokyo Dome.

Canadathe size of the room for a family stay was on a smaller side though I would assume it was a fair size as fat as a stay in Tokyo goes.

SingaporeWould prefer a larger bed as was staying with a preteen and a teenager. However for a Tokyo standard hotel the room is a reasonable functional size which I cannot complain about.
Enjoyed so much the supermarket that is located just outside the hotel. Super convenient 5 mins walk to the nearest train station. The microwave, the washing sink & induction plate is all useful to prepare a quick meal. Like that they provided dishwashing soap and sponge too.

SingaporeThere’s no housekeeping as mentioned, probably to keep the price low. We stayed for 5 nights so still ok without the housekeeping. Hotel can consider giving free housekeeping for every 3 or 4 nights stay. The balcony is sealed. We can’t step out. Can only let the air in. Will be good if there’s water dispenser.
The toilet, the bed, the pillows were good. The room and facilities are very new. There’s a laundry room with dryer.

The room, equipped with a kitchenette, had all the necessary utensils for cooking. The location was within walking distance of Iidabashi Station, and the staff was friendly. I lost my umbrella after mistakenly placing it in the area designated for hotel umbrellas. However, when I informed the receptionist during checkout, she kindly offered me one of the hotel's umbrellas.
