Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom is too small, I almost couldn't fit while using it, the room also felt small because they have the beds and armchairs on an elevated wooden platform that reduces the space you can use and feel more restricted. The balcony was sealed off and the windows had these grates that give you the feeling of a prison, so when you look through it's quite gloomy, to top this off the outside window is very dirty to the point of you can see water marks and dirt through it. Location is OK,you will be inia Korean part of Osaka
The staff are very cool, especially the Japanese night staff for whom I don't remember the names who tried their best to help with issues and to understand English, which in Japan is a real struggle since probably only 5% actually speak and understand English well.....btw except for one Indian guy a bit overweight who looked edgy and apprehensive in his mannerism and the korean manager gave me a pensing mood almost like poker face.

NetherlandsThe hotel is located at a 10-15 minute walk from Tsuruhashi station, which is doable but not with a heavy suitcase in the summer. The bathroom is small so you don't really have space for your skincare/makeup.
During the entire stay I did not encounter any problems. The check in is from 3 p.m. but you can store your luggage before check in when needed. The room was clean, I had enough space to fully open my suitcase on the floor, the bed is a bit on the firmer side but still comfortable. The neighborhood is calm and quiet, other guests were also quiet at night so I didn't had any troubles sleeping.

CanadaLocation is a bit tricky, it is not as easy as it looks to go from Tsuruhashi Station to the hotel It is recommended to walk on the main street if you want to avoid local food shops and narrow dark alleys

AustraliaThe only downfall of this property for us was it's location. It's a bit of a distance to the closest station and there's not much around in terms of food (that suited the needs of our kids). We ended up splurging on taxis instead which wasn't really a problem as it gave our feet a break from all the walking for a day.
Being a family of 4, we had to book 2 separate rooms, but the staff were kind enough to put us right next to each other. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the beds were absolute heaven! They were very comfortable and a nice change from all the firm beds we'd been staying in previously. We only stayed one night, but from beginning to end, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked to include buffet breakfast, which was not what we expected. The food was still lovely, but our kids had hoped for more Western food options which wasn't the case. Not a complaint at all though, just something that didn't suit our family.

AustraliaIt’s far away from the train station, at least a 10-15 minute walk. You have to cut through Korea Town wet markets. It was hard with lots of luggage.

CanadaNot the fault of hotel, but on some nights the Japanese men nearby smoked in the hallway and their rooms and behaved loud. This happens in Japan in many hotels, but is not the fault of hotel. However, the hotel staff should be more assertive with local guests and not simply close their eyes and ears to what they do.
Good location because it is quiet and not so busy, near Tsuruhashi station. The room is much nicer than most hotels at this price level. The room has clean smell, while many Japanese hotels smell like cigarettes despite non-smoking status. This one has nice windows (large) and wide room.

GuatemalaThe place was great, but it was very far from amenities. If you come back late, it gets pretty dark on the way, which may feel a bit unsafe. Although nothing happened to me, I always had that feeling
The room was a bit bigger than others in Japan!

MalaysiaThe location is in K-town, around 8~ minutes walk from the nearest station, Tsuruhashi. Could get very dark when late at night, and its very quiet as well.
The room that I booked was so spacious! For a Japanese hotel to be that spacious, I was in awe. I love everything bout the room, it even has a chair inside the room! (which you rarely find in a Japanese hotel). They provide a pajama everyday and there's coin laundry as well at Level 7. There's Family Mart just around the corner and Lawson down the road.

AustraliaLocation wise, not too far to the station, but still a fair bit amount of time to walk to. Air con remote control sometimes does not work. The balcony was not able to be used, which is a shame. However, this is not really a big deal. (Reasonable for them to deny access per safety reasons).
Fairly clean place, soft bed, pretty wide room size, and convenient laundry available. Luggage scale at the lobby is nice to have.
