Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room is very, very small. We actually understimated, how small it is and the picture are well taken you could say - it doesn't necessarily show HOW SMALL the room is. It is fine for one or two nights for sure but we stayed there for five nights and couldn't wait to move on to our next destination with an average sized hotel room which felt like an entire luxury appartment size wise compared to the room. I would not suggest taking this room for more than two nights. We weren't even able to have our suitcases open at the same time - the space on the floor just wasn't enough.
The building is very nicely located, only a couple of minutes by foot to the most interesting areas in Asakusa

SingaporeHad an amazing 1 night stay over at this hotel. The room was relatively small but very cozy and provided all of the basic amenities. Our room that we chose had a queen sized bed, television, hair dryer, mini fridge, mirror as well as a decently sized, wall facing table with a single chair. The room was actually quite spacious and had a relatively big open space for you to walk around the room and open your luggage. Hence, we had no problems keeping our luggage open the whole time even though our luggage were larger in size. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night rest over at the place. Our room also had a private bathroom of a decent size, with a shower and bath tub. The toilet was very clean in general, toiletries and necessities for showering such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath towels, face towels and room slippers were also provided. Location of the place was amazing. It was located across the bridge from Asakusa Station, around a 5 to 10 minute walk. What was the standout thing about the place for me was that it was away from the hustle and bustle of Asakusa but it was still very convenient to explore Asakusa, Sensoji temple and Nakamise Dori Street. Asakusa was around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the place which made visiting Sensoji temple at night very convenient which I highly recommend anyone to do because the place is absolutely stunning at night. Aside from that, there were a couple of convenience stores located nearby within the vicinity of the place. It is also possible to travel to Tokyo Skytree via foot, which we did and took around 20 minutes to get there, perfect for going to the Pokemon Centre or going to the different character stores located there! The staff there were also really accommodating and nice, allowing us to check-in into our room before the check-in time as our room was ready. Overall, the room was very cozy, in a prime location within Tokyo. This was definitely one of the nicer rooms we stayed in, highly recommend

We liked the location and the room was very clean. Good communication with the host via WhatsApp. The bed was comfortable and the room on the 2nd floor (202) was quiet yet a bit dark due to a wall outside the window. Good AC, shower and wifi.

IndonesiaThe location is not too far from Asakusa subway station. You need to cross the bridge. However, there are limited food vendors or restaurants nearby and no Konbini nearby. The nearest is 7-11; you must walk a few minutes to reach the Konbini.
Self-check-in online is no hassle; you must provide the necessary documents, i.e., passports. You can drop your luggage off in the lobby area if you arrive before check-in time. However, there will be no supervision (only CCTV). Just make sure you lock the luggage properly. The room is considered small; however, it is still adequate to cater to 2 people with cabin-size luggage. The amenities are complete. Quiet neighbourhood so you can sleep peacefully at night without any distractions. You should book here if you want minimal interaction with hotel staff (as you will never see them).

CanadaRoom: We managed with the size but only had small carry on luggage. Anything more would have been hard to manage. Smell: occasionally there was a sewer smell from the bathroom drains. Needed to keep the bathroom door closed but then it became a sauna.
Location: Excellent, 5 minute walk to Asakusa District, close to a station with direct routes to Narita Airport. Check-in: Contactless, easy and smooth. Room: Good sized bed. Good internet and AC. Expectedly small.

ChinaRoom is a tiny bit small and would like another chair to sit when coming home so I don’t need to stand. Didn’t want to sit on the bed with dirty clothes.
Very close to a few tourist areas, 7/11 close by, Ginza subway like at 5 minutes walk. Train from airport arrives to tokyo sky tree, only 10 minutes away. Auto check in and a nice drink machine outside the building.
