Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt is really small. When you come from North America you will be shock to find how small the rooms are. There is just no extra rooms to move. And there are no English channels on there tv.
The property was close to the metro. And close to a lot of restaurants.

United StatesThe staff was rude. The room was tiny. The bed took up all the room and there was no place to store clothes. Since the room was so small we decided to have dessert in the lobby, We were then asked to not eat or drink in the lobby, and not politely.
It was very conveniently located to the train station, multiple restaurants nearby and a 7-11 on the bottom level

IndonesiaThe location is great, very close to Nagoya station. The room is clean, and both the chair and desk are very comfortable - extra points for providing an office chair as the standard option. However, there could be some improvements with communication and amenities.

SingaporeMy room came with a big massage chair which was unnecessary for me, and although the room has a decent amount of space, I could use a little more without the chair. Some people might not see this as a negative point though!
A 5 minutes walk from Nagoya station :) This branch (as there are 2 other Daiwa Roynet hotels around Nagoya station) is also very near places that will most likely appeal to those who are into anime and manga culture like me, including places like TCG card shops, book stores, an Animate outlet and the Animate cafe! The staff are friendly and this hotel offers an ample supply of coin laundries as well as a luggage delivery service!

PhilippinesThe mattress was hard for my liking and there was only one pillow per person. Wish the hotel used better brands for toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) like Pola
Proximity to Nagoya Sta. and 7-11 at the ground level. Pajamas are provided. Drip coffee in disposable sachets always available at the self-service area near reception.

SingaporeRoom Although it was one of the bigger rooms we stayed in Japan, the bed was small for 2 adults and 1 toddler. The bed is also quite stiff, we got a backache from it. Location It is located near the train station but there is not much food options around. Amenities This hotel provides the bare minimum in terms of amenities. As this was one of the last hotels we stayed in Japan, we were a little disappointed at the amenities.
The toilet was big with a nice tub. There was a dedicated closet for hanging clothes which was nice. The room was also a nice size.

United StatesThe room floor carpet looks not clean. Not sure it’s results by color issue or heavy used. The breakfast has less choices compared to other Diawa hotel. We lived in 3 different Diawa hotel in my trip. Other two are very impressive (Kanazawa and Toyama). So we choose to stay in Diawa hotel again in Nagoya. Apparently this one is not like others two.
Good location. It’s a typical Daiwa series hotel. The room size is enough to put two big luggages and 2 small luggages. There is 7-11 at first floor. It’s convenient to buy drink and food at midnight.

Hong KongI like that toilet and bath are in separate rooms, but I think there should be soap or hand wash provided in the toilet.
Great location - There is a convenient store, and, a Vietnamese restaurant on ground floor. It is a few minutes walk to a 24-hour supermarket, and, an underground shopping & dining street. Walking to JR/Kintetsu/Meitetsu train stations takes just a few minutes more.

United KingdomNothing. It was great. Didn't use restaurant and we didn't have breakfast.
Clean, good sized bedroom with fridge, pjs provided and really nice bathroom. Reception area really smart and clean. Good first impression. This was a quick stopover on way to Toyko from Hiroshima. Close to station, 7-11 in building, opposite and round corner so perfect for us. Only 10 min walk to station - easy to find and so glad we didn't go for hotels directly opposite station as a little seedy (full of escort bars). We got a getaway deal as a Genius member so very good value for money. I would recommend for a stopover.
