This could probably be the best hostel in my 3 months visit to Japan. The staff is the nicest you could meet, very friendly, good English, they make you really feel at home. The recommendations they give for restaurants are the best. Nice communal area with simple kitchen, where you can meat other travellers. The beds and showers are fine, the pods are perfect 3200 yen per night. Of course everything spotlessly clean. So, next to the station this is thé place to stay in Imabarl.

The bathroom area could be bigger

A cozy and welcoming clean place. Excellent organisation. Helpful staff. Fabulous location. 2 min. Walk from the bus and train station. Rental bike shop opposite. 7 Eleven 2 min. Walk. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Very helpful receptionist (Nabo?) I was given the best cabin of the hostel. Next to the train station. Convenient stores close by. Highly recommended.

Super cyclist friendly with a bike garage equipped with tools for bike repair if needed. Plus, a personable and easily excitable host passionate about the Shimanami Kaido. Also provided me with a Shimanami Kaido sticker to put on my bike. Easily exceeded my expectations and well worth the cost.

The few mirrors are visible from the entrance so not very comfortable to use. Maybe put one in the dorm or in the shower might be useful... But not really a big deal!

Great location, very convenient near train and bicycle stations. Comfortable dormitory, clean washroom, nice common room to eat, chill and meet other guests. The staff is also very nice and helpful with many great recommandations about food, restaurant, places to visit, creating a lovely atmosphere !

This is probably one of the most prime locations for shimanami kaido cyclists, and the owner and the atmosphere was very vibrant. It had also had very helpful tips for everything needed while the cycling route.

Area is pretty quiet, but nothing against the hostel!

Very clean and pretty hostel. Great place to stay pre or post Shimanami Kaido, as it is right next to the station and bike rental area. The owner was very kind and there is lots of biking information and souvenirs in the lobby. Be sure to get a picture of their biking mural out front!

Location is great, staff are really friendly and helpful, and excellent value for money. Bunks are quiet with privacy and a lock box and there are plenty of shower rooms and sinks. Helpful recommendations for the local area too.

The bed is too hard for my taste. Thanks to the snoring stranger in our room, we only slept 1 hour the whole night. Of course it’s not the hostel’s fault and “we got what we payed for” but if you know you snore, don’t do this to the rest of biker’s community. This hotel is particularly for bikers starting/returning from an 80km ride, so some empathy would be appreciated. People next room were also complaining about the snoring person, so of course ear plugs do not help.

Masa was very helpful and showed us a lot of tips for eating in the surroundings

1) exceptionally clean and comfy with the wood structure. Capsule is big enough but I did bump my head once. (痛い) 2) there is washing machine and place to hang to dry I like it. 3) dining area is very nice and social-able. 4) Takeda-san is yummy. ❤️

Staff super helpful to book my next stay and spoke the best English among all Japanese I encountered in 3 weeks. Great location just in front of Imabari station. Secure parking area for bicycles. Wide common area to cook or read in.
