Everything was perfect except the bed - softer than I prefer for good sleep.

The hotel has an excellent location, right by the sea - every morning we could open the curtains to a beautiful ocean view. It was also very convenient: - Just 6 minutes walk to the bus stop - 10 minutes walk to a FamilyMart Bonus: The owner was absolutely lovely - super friendly, chatty, and always eager to help!

A bit further from the beaches we wanted to see but close to the main town to organize rentals for scooters, bikes and cars. Had issues with the wifi one night but staff had it sorted by the morning and were eager to help.

Rooms were spacious with a great view, lovely breakfast and free laundry facilities.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, well appointed room with a great shower. Delightful hosts who spoke good English and were helpful in every well. They made restaurant reservations for us, accommodated our early start and generally made for a very relaxing stay. Location is right on the seafront. It's a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which gets you into the main town or airport very easily. There are also local places to eat if you don't want to go any further.

Staying in the Cruz del Sur was a pleasure following stays at larger, anonymous (albeit convenient) hotels. The host were extremely personable and full of ideas to spend my days as all diving was canceled due to the passing typhoon. Happily, we didn't get a direct hit.

Everything was perfect. You can't really swim on the beach near the property but it's real pretty to look at!

Superb in every way. I stayed five nights and I booked even though I was hesitant about the location out of city center. But it turned out not to matter, it's a 4-minute walk to the bus stop and the buses between the airport and downtown are half-hourly and run on an accurate schedule so you know exactly (give or take two minutes) when the bus will arrive. The rooms are spotless, one of those I-could-eat-off-the-floor places. The A/C worked great, the bed was comfy, the shower was excellent, breakfast was included, it was so wonderfully quiet, the staff is super friendly, it really was the perfect choice. All those positives and then there's the hammock om the balcony, what a place to hang with a cup of coffee for the sunrise. There aren't many places to eat nearby but a 20-minute walk would get you to the big supermarket MaxValu and there are several options there. There's also a Family Mart that's a 10-minute walk.

A great place to stay in Ishigaki. The location is between the airport and the main city (15 minutes by car from both). Also, a lot of markets, restaurants are close by (5 minutes by car). The hotel in itself is really new and the facilities are clean, the room was very clean and comfortable with a direct view of the beach. The breakfast was simple but very fulfilling. The staff speaks English well and very helpful in providing information of what places to visit on the island. I would definitely use this hotel again next time I visit Ishigaki.

Basically no. If any, maybe the AC and the air filter in the shower room could’ve been cleaned better.

The phenomenal ocean view from the room, private hammock, many services included in a room price - breakfast, laundry, ice (you’ll really appreciate it if you have your own water bottle!), towels for beach etc. and kindness and friendliness of the host!

We have are very eager travelers, we have always been lucky enough to find great people and great places in our journeys, but nothing will ever top the kindness and hospitality we experienced in this Hotel. The hosts are a lovely couple (both speak English very well), they helped us from the very first moment: early check-in, breakfast delivered in the evenings for our early starts of the days, bookings of restaurants, suggestions for beaches, gyms, car rentals... On top.of this, the structure sits in a quiet neighborhood right in front of the sea, the rooms are spotless, the water pressure is high, internet works perfectly and the amenities are amazing (just to mention one, the usage of the laundry is free of charge). Cruz Del Sur exceeded our expectations on all fronts and for now is on its own a good reason to hope, one day we will have a chance to visit Ishigaki once again.

The owners were super friendly and accomodating :) The lady of the couple, could speak very good English, we had a little chat and she even drove me back to the airport. I would definitely come here again.

I really enjoyed everything during our stay @ Cruz Del Sur. The view, the room, how clean it was. The hosts are so kind, and had the opportunity to discuss with them and to get very good advices for visit and activities during our stay. I strongly recommend. To have breakfast at the terrace.
