How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast was okay, not the very best but also not too too bad. It was decent for the type of hotel, the Comfort hotels in the US also have similar meals.
It was a nice hotel in a good location. Close enough to all the sights and shopping that can be done in Hiroshima. Easy to walk to the Peace Museum, the park and A Dome. Can also walk and enjoy it as well to the shopping area there too. The tram is also easy to catch which is about a 1 minute walk to it.

The room size is very small, but this was clearly stated at the time of booking.
A simple, clean hotel with small but cozy rooms. Everything you need is provided. The staff were very friendly — they helped us extend our stay due to bad weather and even called another hotel to let them know we couldn’t arrive.

The mattress was on the softer side which hurts my back.

Separated beds solution wasn't comfortable - no possibility to sit separatly on bed and not easy to get to bed

It was really good. Onsen was good & very close to the historical quarter. Only 15 minutes walk from the railway station.Jotel recommended restaurant (5% off) right across the road was really great.

Bathroom is clean but outdated
great location - 60m to bus station, trams and Streetcars- walk 500m to peace memorial park and 15-minute walk to Atomic Bomb Dome. … Small room as expected in Japan, the room and public area were very clean, very comfortable mattress, staff friendly and perfect western English spoken, breakfast included - mostly Japanese breakfast

Room was small but expected since this is Japan
The hotel was exceptionally comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything necessary for a convenient and relaxing stay. Its location was ideal—just a short walk from the Peace Park and perfectly situated for catching the ferry to Miyajima, making sightseeing easy and stress-free. You can store luggage before and after check out which was helpful. One of the highlights was the excellent breakfast, which featured a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day off right. Overall, the combination of comfort, convenience, and thoughtful amenities made for a highly enjoyable experience.

Incredibly small bathroom, even by Japanese standards
Great location for the peace memorial and museum, breakfast was good but not much choice. Staff were amazing they helped us book a day trip to miyajima island when we checked in, thank you

There was a slight odd smell. kind of like moth balls
Location was close to the Peace Museum and transportation. They have complimentary breakfast. The start spoke English too. Really nice stay staff. It's next to a convenience store too

Rooms are very small, there is barely enough room for 2 people and luggage. We had to store our luggage under the bed at all times. Pillows were flat and hard.
The location was good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Luggage storage was great. Breakfast was good with a lot of options.

I found the room to be on the small size when travelling with large suitcases.
Lots of staff on hand to help with check-in. Really good location to visit Memorial site and museum - 5 minutes walk only. Rooms clean and good bathroom and wifi. Excellent breakfast included in price. Very quiet room despite it being a large hotel. Staff really helpful.

Nothing about this hotel is exceptional, either good or bad.
Convenient location for the museums and memorials, and near bus lines. Main post office is across the street (a plus if you’re mailing stuff.)
