Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaGetting from the metro stop to the hotel was a bit weird.... a few dark streets. Japan is safe, but it was not the nicest place to walk in the dark.
A bit of a strange spot, but on the Port Liner line, so easy to get into downtown Kobe. I would recommend this if you are arriving Kobe airport (or Osaka and take ferry from Kansai to Kobe very easily) later in the day, and looking for a place to acclimatize before carrying on a longer journey. I had selected it based on its proximity to the Shodoshima ferry, but my bad luck meant I had booked it when that ferry wasn't running (annual repairs?). Nice view of the skyline. Nice breakfast, but limited selection if you don't eat meat. Convenience store next door.

JapanIf you want to stay right next to the convention center or the city center of Kobe this place is not for you. But if you don’t mind walking and/or taking some trains then you can’t go wrong with this hotel.
Great breakfast, great onsen and sauna. Friendly staff and a reasonable price.

JapanThe bridge going toward the property doesn’t have an elevator at both ends, so be careful with luggage. They don’t have black out curtains . The driving school lights are bright. Industrial area very loud in the morning. Air pressure made the window whistle all the time.
Close to the airport. Has a convenient store next to it.Easy to find. Had a restaurant but didn’t try.

New ZealandFeels a little removed from the city itself, but didn't take long to walk to the Portliner to get to town. The no tattoo policy for the onsen is a bit outdated given the number of tourists in Japan.
The view from the bar/restaurant is great and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.

JapanI believe it is necessary to include information on Booking about the parking, the distance to the train station, and better clarify that the reception is on the 9th floor.
The cost-benefit ratio was what attracted me the most. The place is very fragrant, very clean, and the service is good. However, it would be important to improve the signage at the building’s entrance, as we had difficulty understanding that the reception is on the 9th floor. Additionally, we found the access to the apartment to be very insecure, as anyone can enter.

Netherlandsthe room has no space to unpack the luggage. instead of a large sofa, it would be better to have a chair and some free floor for the suitcases.
it is a good hotel in a quiet area. close to the promenade, with a convenient shop downstairs and an easy connection to the city center. for the price, it offers a great quality.

AustriaVery friendly personel! Furthermore, the breakfast buffet is to die for, so is the hotel spa and sauna, which basically guarantees your relaxation. Also, be sure to check out the rooftop terrace, especially at night it has a great view of Kobe's city skyline, the Kobe Ohashi and the port area!

United StatesBathroom felt a little cramped. Toilet, sink, and shower were very close to each other, and didn't offer enough room for the "getting ready" experience.
The hotel's themed interior is actually very nice. It looks small from the outside, but the rooms are quite spacious, and they match the theme perfectly. It had a couch and a sizeable and comfy bed.

AustraliaI am from Australia. No access to CNN, BBC etc on TV for overseas visitors. Somewhat limited selection for breakfast and quite expensive for what was available. Not suitable for a family with children.
Nice room with views. Convenient for attending Convention Centre conference and for travel to there and to city via Portliner. After my conference finished my family who live in Japan came as well for one night. The dinner was excellent and included selections suitable for children aged 6 and 8.
