Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe capsule was comfortable but a bit tight, and the price felt a little high for hostel-style lodging. The location is also a bit isolated, with not much to do in the immediate area.
Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The capsule and shared areas were very clean, with fresh towels and pyjamas provided daily. Shower rooms were spotless and well-equipped with plenty of products.

SingaporeThe ventilation is poor, so it got warm at night. The vent is also extremely loud which did not help with sleep.
It is a short walk from Shizuoka station. There is a daily change of towels and pajamas which i greatly appreciate. The shower room also had an attached powder room.

EstoniaThe walls were made of paper so we could hear everything happening on the hallways or when someone was snoring in the other room, in the small room where all the capsule rooms were. Really tiny kitchen with only hot water and microwave option.
Very good location, close to the Shizuoka train station. Nice breakfast at the next door cafeteria. Nice shower area for women

PhilippinesThe room has no locks on a door, I didn't like it mentally. After my long term stay, I did not encounter any issues with my room being unlocked and accessible. Just lock your valuables in the locker and store clothes in suitcase and don't leave the door wide open I guess.
Its not your common capsule hotel. You will have your own room. It is not a locked room, you will have a locked space in the form of a locker. I like it better than your common capsule hotels because you have privacy.

JapanI couldn't control the heating. The weather was unseasonably hot and I felt hot all night.
The location near the station, the room spaced bed, amenities, staff service (especially English translations of all information) were very good. The guests were quiet and respectful on the female floor.

CanadaThere are no sinks on every floor and apparently there are gender specific floors. I was on the 4th floor and the option to get sinks were on the 3rd and 5th floor. I decided to go to the 5th one and one night a middle aged Japanese woman kept staring at me. I politely bowed as to say hello but she was actually mad that I was there and told me that was a women's only floor. I didn't see any signs and she didn't understand that on my floor there were no sinks. I ended up going to the 3th floor from that point. The room door has no lock. There is a locker inside but you cannot fit a medium sized suitcase. They should just install a lock on the door and get rid of the locker IMO
Location. Very close to Shizuoka station. Room is not a capsule but rather a small room which is more comfortable and more private. It even has a TV! They give you a pajama during your stay (you can't take it home though) There's a breakfast option for just 700 yen that happens to be a voucher to go to a nearby cafe and get a bagel and a coffee. Not a very good deal but I didn't know lol

Malaysiaeverything's great, but if you're a paranoid traveler, you might want to keep your valuables inside the locker as the rooms itself has no locks. But, since it's in Japan, so pretty much nothing to worry about.
The stay is 5 minutes away from Shizuoka station, hassle free for commuting via bus or train to anywhere. The staff were very kind, helpful and accommodating, even to non-japanese speakers. The place is clean, well-maintained and safe.

New ZealandThe dryers are very slow! I had to put it in multiple times to dry my clothes. One evening I watch into a shower room and there was a lot of hair on the shower floor… quite possible that someone was using it prior… just gross to see! On the 18th at night, I believe that someone had lift the lights of corridor on, slightly had to sleep because of the light coming into the room.
Excellent service. Approachable staff. Lift in facility was amazing. Room was extremely clean when I got it. Bathroom facilities for the females were amazing! Love all the facilities given. Headset given to watch tv in peace. Very close to train station. Bathrooms were mostly clean! Wifi was decent! Bedding was amazing! I think one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a while!

SlovakiaIt was a bit hot in the room the first half of the night, so I didn't sleep well. The AC is in front of the rooms, and I couldn't find the controls. But then it was nice and cool somehow.
Seems very new so it's nice and clean. They provide everything you might need, pajama, toothbrush, at the girls' bathroom there was face wash and lotion! The room to your bed doesn't have a lock but you get a locker with a key 👍 The room has a tv which is completely unnecessary imho but a nice touch :D I didn't pack a correct charging brick (only had a cable) and they lent me an adapter so that was very nice. Free tissues at the entrance~

JapanLight in the room a little bit dimmed. You can watch TV only with headphones (headphones are not good quality though). Limited choice of breakfast.
Hotel os very near to station. Its not exactly capsule hotel, because its small room, which is actually better. They give you pijama and amenities. There are small wardrobe, TV in the room. Also there are free tea on first floor. The bathroom is on another floor, but its amazing. Its very clean, warm, many hair dryers and mirrors, lotions for body. WC is on the same floor.
