Some of the air conditioner remotes upstairs did not work. Additionally, walking upstairs to the bedroom might be abit dangerous for older people, especially at night

Great location. Quiet. Parking available onsite.. The laundry machine was available onsite. Coin Laundry was just a few minutes away if you needed a dryer. Overall, we enjoyed a relaxing vacation at aoi.

The hostess is very kind. We arrived earlier than the appoitment and sent the hostess a message to get permission of putting the luggage. When we found the house and entered the room, everything was ready, the air condition was working, the room was clean and cool. Everything was comfortable. The location is good, very close to the HAYATAMA TAISHA. By the way, there is a very delicious ice house nearby-just1-2 minutes for walking.

Clean comfortable. The owner, who did not live on site, very kindly came to collect us when the address and directions provided on Google maps took us to a completely different guest house.

The house is lovely, and although it's a bit of a trek from Shingu Station, is in a quiet part of town close to a kakigori shop, and also not far from Kamikura Shrine. As a bonus, I ended up having the entire place to myself, which made it much easier to recuperate from days of trekking along the Kumano Kodo.

The toilet doesn’t smell good. The air conditioner is very old. There is a grave &temple just out of the bedroom window so I worry about the ghost all night- this should be told in the hotel description.

The view across the cemetery was 'interesting', especially when coupled with the rattling of the Shoji screens & front door in the wind... & the repeated ringing of the front doorbell - quite a 'spiritual' experience.....

Good location for walking to the temple & shrines of Shingu, & walkable distance to Shingu Station. Host was most friendly, easy to communicate with & her understanding in allowing us to drop off our backpacks & walk unencumbered around Shingu & Nachisan was hugely appreciated.

Great value stay in Shingu. Good communication for self check in. There are two guest rooms upstairs and shared living area and facilities downstairs. Free use of two bikes a bonus.

Was a little scared at first because there's a little temple with tombstones right across us, but the stay was definitely not at all creepy or scary! I had the most peaceful stay & one of the best sleep on my 2 week trip!

Love the amount of space and privacy in this apartment, really enjoyed cooking, lounging around in the living area and the toilet was also super cozy!

While the location was great, the kitchen was not very well equipped (they only have a few cups and a few plates - no bowls, glass cups) also just one knife available. It would be great if they had a dryer, because the clothes don't dry very well there. Also, the kitchen table only offered 3 chairs and the seating option in the living room was not very comfortable. I think they may have missed trash day, because in one of the mornings as we were leaving to train, there was trash in the parking lot and we saw that the large trash can that sits in the balcony was completely full and was not closing all the way, causing animals to grab the bags and spread the trash.

The location was great, near Hayatama and Kamikura Shrines (easy walk to both). Also walking distance to Okuwa market (about 10 minutes). Easy parking lot behind the property and easy check in and check out process.
