How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

More info about the check in and how to reach the property from the train station underground would be very helpful prior checking in.

Verified reviewFirst of all, kudos to the staff who waited two hours for us to arrive the hotel. I had some issues with my phone and didn't get their message that their front desk closed at 7pm, and we ended up arriving at 9pm. The staff lady not only wasn't upset, she was super nice and we had a great chat with laughter. They did send us instructions of how to get into the room after the front desk was closed, but if we weren't able to check messages then it would have been a problem. We all appreciated her friendly and considerate service. The room was a beautiful surprise for us, as it's even nicer to see in person than the pictures. It was nicely designed and spacious. The room we got had both regular beds and tatami beds, and both were very comfortable. Even the coffee and tea they provided in the room were good quality ones. I love the concrete walls and the modern industrial clean interior design of the room. The location was also very convenient.
The only thing we wish they could improve on is the slippery bath tub. This room had a small bathroom and the person would have the shower in the bath tub, however the bath tub was super slippery yet there was no grab bar at all, which was quite dangerous.

It had nothing. Had noddles for dinner, went to get a fork and wow to my surprise no utensils only little spoons. It had no, plates, bowls, knifes, toaster nothing. I had to improvise and use ice tongs to eat dinner. The back door to balcony is in bedroom and has no curtain, so you feel like anyone can peek in (cant your on 4th floor) very uncomfortable. To many bright lights going on in the place, especially the big red light. The timber strips over windows, you cant people watch. The place was huge with heaps of cupboards could of easily had washing machine, utensils and dining set as well as something to use to cook on. For such a gorgeous place the lack of things was very disappointing.

The bedroom does have two types of curtains installed-both sheer and blackout options-for privacy and light control.Sometimes they can be a bit tricky to spot or operate.And timber slats in the window are also included as a safety and privacy feature. Verified reviewWorst experience ever, didn't expect this in Japan. Folks the official hotel address, the convenient central to everything location is an office for check in only!! Once check in, the staff will inform you the actual place to stay was few blocks 5-10min walks away. We were lucky to have a rented car. Would be a nightmare if we had an elderly or baby, and many luggages to carry .... We were 2 families travelling together and we were assigned to stay at 2 different locations, 10min drive away!! All the plans for our kids to stay up late to shop (Don Quijote) and supper at Ichiran Ramen were ruined. Super disappointed.

Verified reviewExcellent layout, central location. There were two separate toilets, one separate bathroom and one separate shower and bath combined. The kids loves the projector on the wall. Easy to walk to from Shizuoka Station.
There was a leak from the ceiling just above the step to the kitchen area which needs attention. The lack of elevator meant that we had to carry our luggage up a few flights of stairs. However, this was already made clear from the description of the hotel. I think that this would be challenging for elderly travellers.

Interesting modern design, very well located in downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants ( awesome ramen place suggested by the gentleman at the reception. Bonus: we had some vouchers and took advantage of 2 passes for a spa situated 2 metro stations from the apartment. Absolutely worth it! We were given a telephone to get hold of someone if we needed some help. I would really recommend in a heartbeat this decentralized hotel !

Verified reviewAmazing room, much larger than expected. Lovely bathroom/ shower, separate vanity, and toilet. Very central and just a 10min walk to the train station.
We were not expecting a separate reception but our vags were delivered to the room, and we were escorted all the way to the room which was a few blocks from their reception. Once we saw the room, we understood the value of the separate reception area. We were given a phone to directly contact them if needed which was an additional comfort.
