For foreign tourists it might be good to have the guide information on the TV in other languages like Mandarin, Korean and English.

I often come to Kagoshima and this is my favourite mid range hotel in the Tenmonkan area. The rooms are spacious for a Japanese hotel. As well as comfortable, clean and well appointed with crisp white cotton linen. No polyester bedcovers. The touches in the rooms are nice, attractive and clean with quiet air con. No lights shining from anything in the room at night. The lighting options were great. The location is excellent.

Ease to come around: checking in and checking out is one of the funniest and smooth experience I ever had. The place is quite central and near the night live of Kagoshima no need for a car to simply go around there.

The breakfast was good. However, some more options would have been appreciated. The staff at the restaurant was super friendly and welcoming ad well so it really made up for it.

Having reception people literally behind a closed door where you have to ring them, then repeat yourself 8 times, because they don’t speak English, then they hang up and walk out, is ridiculous. Just have a front desk to save the hassle. The room only has green tea, no coffee and no glasses.

The hotel is right across from the tram stop and is easy to get around. The area across the street appears to be lots of nightclubs and men’s bars, from what I could gather. But the rooms were quiet. The parking is next door, but it’d help to know.. you have to park first, then take your ticket up to reception, check in, dial 9 on the nearby phone, then pay for your parking. Also have everything ready to quickly take out of the car. The room was a good size and comfortable bed.

The hotel uses electronic check in and minimal staff - on call. The check in desk has a holgram of a samurai and you self check in. My check in took some time and I needed to call for human help. The front desk staff sorted it out, but it was not as easy as having a person to do it in the first place.

Location was great - very great location for shopping Its a location that you can walk (1-3 km) to the central station, ferry to the volcano.

Hotel was well located and easy to get around to other places of interest in the city. Paid carpark was just next to the hotel. Checkin was fast with the automated checkin machine. Room was clean and all amenities were provided for. Bed was comfortable and large enough. Highly recommended.

I often stay in Kagoshima so I've stayed in a number of mid-range hotels here. This one is my favourite in the city centre and I usually try to stay here if the price is in my budget. I appreciate the quirky and easy check-in experience. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan and always clean. Their toiletries are organic and smell great! And their sheets and covers are cotton. It's also handy to Tenmonkan but in walking distance to the station.

Located a few steps away from the tram, bus and airport express bus stop. A great many shops and eateries close by. Not far from the ferry station to Sakurajima. A big onsen offered on top of the building. Enjoyed the Japanese sweet for breakfast. TV
