View, location, walk in pool and kids pool, had pool floats for guest use, restaurant on the property

Beds are hard- not horrible but for a 5 day stay it wasn't super comfy for sure Parking avaliable but a bit of a walk in the heat 🥵

Staff super friendly and helpful, the sea views, the sunsets, the BBQ dinners, swimming pool.

“Beachfront” and “seafront” are not the same — and this hotel proves it. Despite the description, there is no actual beach directly in front of the hotel. The nearest beach is about 2 km away, and honestly, it's nothing special. We chose not to rent a car because we expected to relax right on the beach, but ended up disappointed with the lack of one. Also, breakfast options were limited, especially for European tastes

    Breakfast, view from the pool

The attitude of the staff could have been better. We paid for a Mountain View. What we got was a view of the road with electric cables running across. The manager told us that we should have checked the hotel pictures before hand. We showed him what we’d viewed. His next excuse was that we had paid for the cheapest room. This was not only rude but incorrect as we paid over average for a hotel in this area and saw that other rooms were available for lower prices. After no good will gesture we had no option but to pay extra per person to be upgraded. Not the best way to treat guests.

    - Outstanding pool and onsen - Amazing breakfast with a mix of local and western selections; I looked forward to every day. - Great staff with either fluent English or making a big effort to have the conversation translated - Convenient, free car parking - Ideal location (if you have a car) in that it’s in a quiet area but still easy access to restaurants, points of interest, etc

Nice ocean view from the room

Horrible breakfast, and generally service quality is not worth the money.

very clean property, amazing staff, great breakfast options (including vegetarian options). The communal bath was simple and clean ans nicely appointed. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler and location was central between town and club med/or northern diving on the island. Had an in room shiatsu massage which was decent (not the best ever but not bad). Lunch and dinner vegetarian options were limited and I do think you need a car if you stay there, not much around. Didn’t use the pool much because it rained most days I was there. Fairly good value if you want something clean and convenient with a very helpful staff

Negatives: I had booked a Mountain View and it was overlooking a muddy roof so not much ambiance, and they put me In the old wing which was clean but very outdated.

Stunning views. Friendly, helpful and professional staff

Toilet in the room was a bit small. Tea and coffee replenishment in the room could have been better. Had to ask at reception for extra tea/coffee bag’s etc

There were only 6 buses a day into town which was over an hour walk away. The local restaurants seem to close at 6pm leaving the hotel the only option with an expensive large set menu at night. We walked into town and eventually found some options as we wanted a small meal. We went to the hotel bar on our return at 9.30 to find it was closed. A shame as the hotel had given us vouchers for use there. Room lovely and spacious with great view.

    Property response:

To Russell Thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your spacious room and the beautiful view. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced regarding the limited transportation options, the early closing hours of local restaurants, and the closure of our bar despite the provided vouchers. We understand how this may have impacted your overall experience, and your comments will be shared with the relevant departments to help us improve our services and better accommodate our guests’ needs in the future. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again, offering a more seamless and satisfying stay. Warm regards, Hotel Management

Beautiful pool area and great bedroom (in the more modern complex).

Everything felt difficult, it seemed like it was run like a 2-star hotel. A few examples: lunch was only available for two hours with one option, we rented bikes and both had flat tyres, we got a call at 22:30 about a trip that hadn’t been booked for us (by 17:00). You also can’t go in the sea at the front of the property because of the jellyfish (other resorts have nets).

The breakfast was good and staff were kind and helpful . Also the bus stop is 1 min walking so it’s very convenient if you want to come and go through Ishigaki

I didn’t notice while booking that this hotel has “sea view” but doesn’t have a beach. I think I’ve read “in front of the beach” so I booked without double checking. Another thing that could have been better was the restaurant, I think the menu was very limited

Bed was too hard and no ability to switch to a softer bed, swimming pool was very shallow, breakfast could be better.

The hotel had a very relaxed vibe, the facilities were good with the outdoor pool and seating area, as well as use of inflatables, frisbies etc. The onsen was also very nice with a great sea view and was never very busy. Breakfast buffet was great and offered a very good variety. there was a shop to buy drinks and snacks. The only downside was the bar/resestaurant was very restricted in what it served, it would have been great to have a bar that was more useable by the pool. But apart from that the stay was very enjoyable and the staff very friendly.

The breakfast was the best part of the hotel. The music and vibe was very nice in the breakfast area and the view was wonderful.

Some parts of the hotel felt dated. I was surprised by how small the tv was in the room. Also didn’t like that the location was not close to much of anything food wise. Found two small bugs in the room. You can’t swim in the ocean here, only the pool.
