It's still too hot at night but despite that I slept well. The other thing is that it is open for a bit in the rooms so there is light and noise from other rooms. Minor things as I stayed here happily for a second time :D

There was an opening above the door, making it a bit noisy. If it was closed, it would be less noisy. Also, the heater was too hot for me but for only 2 nights these weren't a big issue. Mino is hard to get to by public transport, so that's a pity as the stay is probably the best in Mino.

The staff were amazing! Super friendly and cheerful, loved it. Bath was great, bed was comfortable, everything clean and taken care of.

Partition is half height. My room next to the reception can heat the noise from people talking and watching tv. Also the light from the corridor shines directly on the bed.

Host is very friendly. We had sake together the first night i arrived. I only stayed in mino cos gujo is booked out for bon odori but im so glad i did. Such a lovely small town. Not many cheap accommodation options here. Perfect location at the end of the 2 old street. Theres a small pantry and fridge. Shower and wc good. No laundry. Recommended to rent e-bike from cafe nearby and stroll along the river.

As others have already pointed out, the rooms are not fully closed from the common spaces. There is a gap in the wall above the doors so you will hear everything that's happening outside your room and others hear you as well. Be sure to get earplugs if you're staying here.

The location is the best! 5 minutes to the Umeyama train stop and 50 meters to the old district from the hotel door! The owner is a very friendly guy, very interested in other cultures, funny and chatty. He will invite you inside like an old friend and offer you beer and sake! The hotel itself is small, quiet, and clean. The whole town feels like a small village with strong community feeling. We really liked staying here!

It's more a hostel than a guest house. We managed OK because not many people were stopping but there is only one shower and one toilet so it could be a problem.

be aware the rooms have no ceilings. they are separated only by the walls. Yet as I said, I slept without issues. Just make sure to bring eye mask and ear plugs in case.

The couple running the place were really nice, and I was given recommendations as to where to go for dinner. The car park was close to the place, and the actual inn was really clean. It is not a fancy hotel, it is just a room with a shared bathroom, shower, and a little kitchen. Yet I slept well, and there were no noises.

Very clean and comfortable, spacious, easy to find our rooms. Good amenities provided, excellent location near Mino IC perfect to stop before driving to the mountains. Scenic locality with a traditional townscape. Heated blanket was perfect after a long drive. Very kind owners!! They helped us with our car to clear the snow and ice and were very sweet and friendly. Thank you and I'll definitely stay here again.

Everything. The bed was so comfortable and you'll get good value for your money ! Mino is a gem, unless you been there before. The bus stop is just outside the door, if you don't have your own wheels. The old couple who runs the Guesthouse is so kind and helpful. If I was to go to Mino again, this would be my choice of accommodation, every time.

Room in an open space like. The wall don t go up to the ceiling and neighboor was very noisy.

The rooms aren't completely private as mentioned by others, but we had no issue. It was quiet at night.

The owner is very kind. He gave us many recommendations in the area, showed us his traditional home, and treated us with Japanese sake.
