Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanHow to get there from public transportation is a little bit challenging ( Sin Kobe Station ), plus if you have luggage , is complicated to get there since it is on a hill . We got to know there was a shuttle bus until we checked in , otherwise would be easier to reach the hotel .
The Onsen facilities are amazing and as well the restaurants and food are delicious . Staff were very service oriented and very nice through all the stay .

MalaysiaStaff are overwhelming with locals and unable to communicate well during check in. They wrongly communicated that there is a bus shuttle from hotel to bus stop, end up nothing and we have to run down with huge luggage to catch the bus Hotel are situated at steep uphill so you might wanna store luggage in the city. Otherwise you have to bring your luggage to climb up the steep hill (10mins walk) from byus station - hope to have shuttle bus services from hotel
Super cool onsite natural onsen in gold and silver style (must try) & Natural sauna - all included in room price Nostalgic feel room

United StatesThough it was close from the station, I didn't realize the location was up a steep hill. Holding an infant and walking with a toddler and two suitcases was a bit hard - if I had known, I would've taken the taxi. The instructions for the onsen was a bit confusing and hard to figure out. Everything is in Japanese and the system did not seem intuitive.
The breakfast was great! The staff was kind. The futon and accommodation was good enough.

South KoreaThe hotel is on a steep hill, so it was a little difficult to walk. The shuttle stops in front of the station, so take it up. We didn't have any information, so we walked up.
There are 5 open-air baths on the 2nd floor, which were nice and the meals were good. Even the simple internal onsen at the B1 was nice to wash in the morning.

United StatesNon-Japanese speakers: The staff has English papers at the front desk containing the critical check in/out instructions, room info, property map, and hotel/onsen rules. The staff do not speak English. The menus and most signs are not in English. The staff were so willing to help that they recruited their non-staff friends on the phone to help translate when we had questions. Do NOT come if you have food allergies or are a picky eater.
Comfortable tatami room, delicious food (included one Michelin star-equivalent kaiseki dinner and a gourmet buffet breakfast), and relaxing onsen. There are two floors of public onsen featuring all sorts of pools, waters, saunas. There is also a basement onsen only for hotel guests open until midnight. You can even visit the public onsen for free on the day you check out.

Hong KongI write to express my disappointment with the dinner arrangement which was included in the package. I read in earlier review that there were a lot of dishes in dinner which I suspect was Kaiseki, that's why I chose this hotel. It turned out that my room was given a Beef Sukiyaki set. I met another group staying here and they were given the Kaiseki set, which they found very satisfying. I think this is quite unfair to us, because we were not given any choice when we booked the hotel. I hope readers of this review will take into account of the dinner arrangement and enquire with the hotel if they are given choices of dinner set. As for going to the onsen and restaurant, the hotel has troublesome arrangement. You need to put away your footwear before going into the elevator. You are given a pair of socks that you walk with during your stay in those two levels. Commuting between your room and the two levels requires putting on and taking off the same pair of socks lessens your free movement. I can see the dirt at the sole part of the socks and it was so unhygienic. It might also be helpful to note that you need to bring your room towel every time you go to the onsen and there is no free exchange for a new dry towel, i.e. you can pay additional fee of 200+ yen for an extra dry towel.

United Kingdomway too crowded as the onsen is open to non-hotel guests. the place is very chaotic, not the relaxing experience I was looking for. they told me last order was at 21:00 at the restaurant and when I showed up at 20:40 the manager told me the last order was at 20:30 and they didn’t serve me any food. not ideal when you are in a remote location in the middle of nowhere. also way too expensive for what it is.
the room style is very cool, purely retro 70s.
