How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Verified reviewLocation is ideal if wanting to explore Dotonbori. It's only about an 8min walk away. The breakfast was great. Lots to choose from. Western cuisine as well as Japanese style breakfast. The roof top pool was lovely, as it was extremely hot when we were there. However you have to book it and can only stay 1hr. Fee is charged. Worth it for the view.
I was a little disappointed with this hotel. Having stayed in other hotels in Japan, we knew the room would be small but this one was really small. If you are over 6ft tall, you might have difficulty closing the bathroom door whilst on the toilet! lol

Room was average - didn't match up at all to the quality and opulence of the vast entrance lobby. A/C didn't stay on so room heated up during the day and took a while to cool when we got back in the evening. We were on a high floor and it took a long, long time to find space in a lift at certain times, and it was very hot and humid whilst you were waiting in the corridors.

Verified reviewBreakfast was very good! Lots of choices! Since we are on vacation with no early itinerary, we enjoyed going for breakfast at variable times. My 4 kids wake up late, and the breakfast buffet is still open at 10 am!
Location was perfect! Near Dotonbori, Bus Terminal for Airport, Metro Subway, supermarket, drug store and 7/11 inside the hotel is a plus.

Our restaurants are located on the 2nd and 40th floors. The 2nd floor restaurant is open until 2pm and offers a wide variety of menu items. The 40th floor restaurant is open until 10am, allowing you to enjoy the view from the 40th floor, which we hope you enjoyed. As for the location, we are located near the major Namba Station, so we believe it provides easy access to tourist attractions. We hope you will use our hotel again when you visit Osaka. Verified reviewThe hotel seems very new. It is very clean. From the higher floors you get an amazing view of Osaka. The bed is very comfortable. There is a free water dispenser on every floor as well.
At certain times of the day, the elevators are extremely busy, and there is a queue to go upstairs. The rooms are extremely tiny. When you've got a big suitcase it is hard to even get into the room.

My family are allergic to dust and this place made us so congested that we fell sick. They don’t vacuum the carpet enough. The price of pool entry is ridiculous for that tiny thing. Never have I stayed somewhere that “pool” wasn’t included. I didn’t find any staff here friendly. Will not return.

Verified reviewAPA standard with an excellent onsen! Great sauna and a variety of baths to choose from. Didn't try the restaurant, but having the 711 right there beside the onsen was a plus! Room was functional for its size. Had a small window on the 29th floor; crazy view! Self-check seemed to give some people issues, but I had no problem.
Maybe only the lack of "staff" interaction, but that is the design! Also the hotel "interior" is actually outside, so prepare to be hot (or cold) upon exiting your room!

Verified reviewThe hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Dotonburi, so really handy and close to restaurants and bars. Our room, though small by UK standards was bigger than the one we had in Tokyo and comfortable. The hotel has a gym, laundry and 7-Eleven, so really well equipped. We ate in the bar one evening and the food was good and not too overpriced for a hotel restaurant.
Everything was good - the only thing that worked less well was the queue to store luggage following check out. That said, it was organised and efficient and I'm not sure what else they could do given the number of people wanting to store items.
