Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe had some room issues during our staying, for example fridge was not working well, even when turned on by both switches it didn’t cool off and we had to throw away part of our breakfast. Secondly, this is the first Apa hotel where the part of the staff was speaking few to little English. We had a great interaction with the night staff, and they were fluent and helpful. However in the morning, when we checked out, we had a hard time as we tried to explain the room issues to the conciergerie.
The Hotel is perfectly located and well connected to the airport. You can get to the domestic terminal in less than 10 minutes by car and in less than 15 minutes by public transportation. The hotel has a great parking space, but is very limited, so if you want to use it write to the staff in advance or get to the hotel early. The room is quite spacious and the hotel is perfectly clean

CanadaThe pillows could be a little more comfortable.
The location was great if you’re doing the Shimanami Kaido. The bike rental shop is less than 5 minutes away and the ferry that takes you to the start of the course is right outside the hotel. It’s also right beside the train station so it’s easy to take day trips if you’re staying in Onomichi for more than a night. It was clean and did the job as a place to rest and sleep after a lot of walking around.

United StatesPillows. They are just too flat and not enough of them. I think you would need three pillows to make a standard one pillow.
Honestly, everything about the hotel was very good with the exception of the pillows.

PolandI always know what to expect, but I regret that there's no gym! However, this didn't affect my positive rating!
This is already the fourth APA hotel I've stayed at. You know what to expect: a small room, but with everything you need. Clean, fast check-in and check-out, fantastic location. The hotel provides access to a washing machine, dryer, iron, and microwave.

TaiwanThe room was quite small — we could only open one suitcase in the narrow entrance area, and had to close it in order to open the door. The location is excellent for those using the subway, as it's right by the station exit. However, for travelers driving, parking nearby fills up quickly, so it's best to arrive early.
The front desk staff were professional, polite, and efficient. Before check-in, I had some questions and received a prompt and friendly email response, which was very reassuring. The in-room TV offered a wide variety of VOD options, making it easy to relax after a long day. Amenities were clean and well-prepared, contributing to a comfortable stay.

United KingdomI don't know how to describe it but the corridors are technically outside as there is a a hole in the ceiling which goes all the way to the 2nd floor, each corridor being able to look down it. Not really a problem however in the summer heat it meant the corridors were really warm so you didn't get that cooling relief until you were in your room.
I've stayed with APA hotels in the past and I'm really glad I stayed with them again. The rooms are compact but I still had space to have my suitcase open (I had it partially under the bed sticking out) and never felt like I was lacking space. All the amenities I could need and despite being plus size I fit in the bath just fine. I was on the top floor and had a lovely view of the airport, some nights I had the window open and it wasn't too loud either. The beds are quite comfy and I really like how you can control all the lights and aircon from the bed. Staff were lovely and I really liked the location, its next to a station that is 2min subway ride from Hakata main station.

SingaporeCertain areas were neglected on the cleaning. I found strands of hair by the curtain that dropped onto the bed and the top of the table lamp had build up of dust that [though easy to miss] can turn to a sneezy time. There are only 2 washing machine and 2 dryer to share so everyone's always waiting.
Location was perfect. Very accessible to the train station

PhilippinesDidnt get to read til it’s too late that housekeeping is not automatically done unless you specify ahead. Very strict with the check out time. Not much eateries nearby
Conveniently located. Easy to get to and from the airport or any other area if coming from the subway.

PhilippinesPillows are a quite hard. It’s a single room and yet I found it incredibly tiny (except the bed which was of good size) and I would keep bumping into the wall or sink and I’m not even a big person. But positive points outweigh these.
Located near subway (very convenient when it was raining), near supermarket and convenience store, found out near the end of my trip that Hakata staion is also easy to get to (~10-15mins walk). Many outlets in the room.

AustraliaThere was nothing I didn't like.
Very convenient location, right on top of the only subway station (entrance to station is only a few steps from the front door of the hotel) between Hakata Airport and Hakata main station. Supermarket and restaurant within a minutes walk or it's only a couple of minutes on the train to Hakata station where the selection of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets is absolutely amazing. The hotel it self is clean and modern with friendly helpful staff. Bicycles are available for hire right at the front door.

SwitzerlandSoundproof is not good so we heard street noise and noise from the above room. Table top, bed head, and the carpet floor have some dust. The aircon blows unpleasant odor out if the temperature setting is high (23 C), once I reduced to 21 C, the odor disappeared. However, we stayed only 1 night.
Location is perfect for those who have early morning flight because the entrance to airport metro is right in front of the hotel (no elevator, stairs only). It takes 2 minutes to walk down the metro and 3 minutes ride to the domestic terminal of Fukuoka airport. The room has all amenities you will need. Small but practical.
