Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe room was really very smoky when we arrived but it did dissipate during the stay. In retrospect we my have been better booking a hotel closer to a main centre as the Kiba area seemed quiet.
Room was a good size and had a window to open for fresh air. Bathroom was okay - bigger than others we had on our trip. Breakfast was good.

AustraliaWhilst the hotel itself wasn’t terrible the location wasn’t great. Kiba isn’t close to anything, there weren’t any restaurants or shops near by. The o my shops close to us were the 7/11 and so we ate food from 7/11 every night. The room was the smallest we stayed and probably shouldn’t be allowed 3 people in it. We were forced to place our belongings almost completely blocking the door to both the bathroom and the door to the room making for a dangerous situation had there been an emergency. The room was really only suitable for 2 people max.
The staff were helpful and kind

IndonesiaThe room size is really tiny , it's difficult if you have 2 big luggage with 2 small luggage, if only the room's bigger.

JapanThere was quite a lot of dust in the AC units and on doors, shelves, etc. Most of the guests were coughing and sneezing in other rooms (I could hear through the doors). The doors themselves are kind of flimsy. There is only 1 elevator and you have to wait a lot in the morning or at night when people are coming back from going out. The hotel is just 10 min walk from Kiba Station, but it's tricky to find the first time.
APA Hotels, even the older ones, have a certain standard they have to meet as far as amenities and facilities. Although an older building without a spa or other fancy things, it was a fairly comfortable stay in a room that seemed sized well for Japan. The bed was moderate and fairly comfortable and all fixtures worked well. The staff accomodated my need for AC during the cooler season with a portable room cooler and the restaurant's breakfast was pretty OK for being served in such a small and kind of old restaurant.

United StatesThis APA is a bit older than most I have stayed at. The bathroom is in need of some touch up but there was nothing atrocious. The walls were a bit more thin than othe APAs so I could hear more noise from the hall and other rooms, this wasn't disturbing though. The distance to the nearest station is a bit far, but not unbearable.
Room was comfy and clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. The area around the hotel is quiet and there are conbini and restaurants very close by. It’s in a nice area that is pleasant to walk around.

Puerto RicoThe seasonal A/C temperature control, wish I could have cold air in my room but it only had warm air because of the season so had to open the window most of my stay.
The breakfast, the great staff, comfy beds, and close to a Supermarket and Familymart.

NorwayThe room was clean, but the walls had markings on them. Room was overall showing signs of needing renovation. But for the price it was just fine.
Pricing was good. Right next to a pizza place you can order food to the room. Room was small but larger than expected. (As a big and tall guy I only had minor challenges with the shower) No smoke was actually no smoke.

Singaporethere is only one lift for eight floors. so during peak hours you have to wait a while to get to the lobby.
the choice of breakfast is limited. either western or eastern. quality is good. freshly prepared, good free flow of coffee. when you stay longer it becomes a bit boring. you might want to change to a bento as alternative. bed is very comfortable, HUGE TV screen although only one English channel (BBC news) . used my laptop and the free internet to get entertained staff is very friendly although command of English is limited. google translate helped ! quiet neighborhood, but less than 10 min walk to the metro
