I was a bit disappointed when I saw a small stain on the toilet seat. It's probably from the cleaning solution but this is the first time it happened to me, out of all my previous stays in Japanese hotel.

The price was very affordable, the location is great.

Room was very small and tight. Not really enough space for baggage. Laundry machines were dirty in the basement.

The location was perfect - right off the main Kyoto Station. Easy commute to everywhere we went to go see. Beds were pretty comfortable and fresh towels were brought everyday. Best part was the free movie options for when we got back at night!

The offer was good if you wanted a Japanese breakfast. I would have appreciated a more international menù.

The hotel is near the station and offers all the services of a typical Japanese hotel. The room was comfortable and silent.

We sent our luggages from Kanazawa PO to APA Hotel Kyoto Ekimae. When we arrived, they gave s our luggages but one of them was damaged. I don’t think they inquired about it from the delivery driver, they just received it. When we asked if they noticed the damage, they said it was already like that when delivered. They helped us to call the PO help line but we were just given a run around. We end up fixing the luggage on our own.

It is hard to shower, especially if you are tall. It is not because I was too tall but the shower has a ceiling much lower where the shower head is and makes it that only people below 5’5” or 165cm can fit (even then it would be uncomfortable). The drying machine is also not the best and we had to ask for additional hangers to air dry our clothes (they do not have a drying rack).

The staff is really there to help you out and the room and property is very clean. This hotel is perfect for short stays and to explore the city of Kyoto and even to take a train to Tokyo or Osaka!

No wardrobe, clothes have to be hanged on walls.

Convenient location, just 3 minutes walk from the JR station. Room is clean and tidy, only that the bath room is a bit small, may not be suitable to westerners. Breakfast is good and simple, more Japanese dishes than others, suit to those like me enjoy simple food.

the Staff was great, the room was clean. However, you had a step to enter the bathroom. The breakfast was just OK . The location was great, next to transportation and close to entertainment. the Hotel is a little bit old and tired if this could be a great hotel if they renovate it.

Breakfast was slightly underwhelming but considering all nationalities that use the hotel its understandable that they had to select food to satisfy as many as possible

Location was brilliant, 3 minutes from Station and easy to find. Centrally located. Staff were friendly and polite and happy to help us with luggage transfers
