Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaCool vibe with helpful, happy and obliging staff. Great restaurants, bars and coffee shop. Well located and close to the subway. Rooms are not large but so well designed they seem to have a TARDIS quality.

TaiwanDidn't know to use vinyl record player in the room, even checked online instruction. It was a pity that I cannot enjoyed the music during my stay.
1. All staff speak fluent English, is very friendly for me who can't understand Japanese. 2. Delicious breakfast. 3. Spacious room, bathtub. 4. Big closet, free pajamas and slippers. 5. Free still water in the room.

United States of America… why would you have to log in a few times a day, every day (with room number and password) in a modern hotel in Japan in 2024?? Also the music in the lobby is quite loud.
Very cool and hip, well done everything. And Stumptown coffee downstairs is great. Like the bikes, pity the e-bikes were gone early every morning. And the WiFi is a bit off…

AustraliaBreakfast was yummy but felt it overpriced for what it was. There are No real options for kids breakfasts on the menu even though the dining room was filled with families with children eating. We didn't have breakfast included in our stay but we ate here at the onsite restaurant on the first morning and I think for the four of us we paid $120 for breakfast. There are plenty of good cafe options around the area with western breakfasts that were half the price, but was definitely convenient for our first morning eating at the hotel. We had cocktails and ate at Poipiko the Mexican restaurant in the hotel one night and it was delicious. Highly reccomend!
We arrived at 1am due to flight cancellations and missing our bullet train. The staff looked after us and made sure the arrival was smooth. They stored our big ski luggage in their storage room for our entire stay. Our family of four stayed in a Standard twin room. The rooms are designed cleverly and it is enough room for us comfortable for the 4 nights. We managed to use the front door area to keep our luggage and the bathroom and seperate toilet are spacious. Beds were really comfy. Rooms were quiet. Location was excellent with a subway below but also walking distance to the main shopping area. The back streets are great to walk with cute little boutique shops and cafe's you will miss if you stick to the subway.

AustraliaAll historical rooms on the third floor face the street, and so noise is a big issue for light sleepers. I asked to be moved to a different room facing a side street.
Modern, hipster vibe. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room layout (historical twin) was very intuitive, and the room itself was quite spacious.

SingaporeLack of parking space, and sometimes the staff wanted to end the conversations much faster. Should offer valet parking as guests who stay here, are usually tourists who find parking stressful given the other cars follow closely behind you...

United States of AmericaAfter our Kyoto visit, we'll be staying at Ace Hotels in the future, for sure. Located in a lovely part of town, this hotel was stuffed with creative, thoughtful touches that made it hard to want to leave. There are the standard provided items you'll find in Japan (toiletries, yukata), plus other nice touches (like a bicycle rental option) but I most enjoyed the records on offer—I frequently swapped mine out down at the front desk and eventually bought a few I listened to off of Ebay. The on-side restaurant/coffee offerings are great, and they frequently have art or music events happening, which keeps things lively. There's much to do in the local area, including the trendy shopping center that Ace is a part of; when you want to explore further, just jump on the metro from the station that's connected to the shopping center!
