    “I was concerned there might be a major catch due to the low price. But the place was perfect for my purpose. The room was big by japanese standards, with a large fridge freezer and an oven and there was a laundry room. The location near Nijo castle near a station was also perfect for me. This place is fantastic value for money, and I will certainly stay here again next time I pass through Kyoto.”

    “Staying in this hotel was an incredible experience for a first-time visitor to Japan. Guests are required to remove their shoes at the hotel entrance, which helps to create a really homely atmosphere. The onsen completely exceeded our expectations — there were many different baths and despite my trepidation it was not an awkward experience. The free ice cream afterwards was the perfect way to finish. Breakfast is a complete feast, with so many different options.”

    “Excellent location, close to Kyoto city hall, very well connected by bus with many major tourist sites. A train station is also close by. The room on the 7th floor was very quiet at night, the bed and duvet extremely comfortable and pleasant. Good bathroom amenities as well. We did not have breakfast, but we greatly appreciated the free drinks service (coffee, tea, detox water) in the lobby, as well as the 24-hour water and ice service. There is a good supermarket just nextdoor, shopping arcades and restaurants of all types and price ranges in the vicinity. It is excellent for both business trips and holiday stays. The Wi-Fi worked well.”
