  • “We had a wonderful stay at Mika’s and Paul’s beautifully refurbished ancient Japanese house. Mika was so kind and did restaurant bookings for us and gave us recommendations of hiking trips and onsens. It feels like being in a house with friends of friends since you stay together in one space and use the same kitchen and bathroom. In the evenings we had a Sake and asked them everything we wanted to know about Japan. Very interesting! Thank you so much, what a special and great stay! 😁”

  • “Quaint guesthouse out in the countryside with easy access to outdoor activities and lots of pretty countryside as well as the Suntory Hakushu distillery. Bike hire is free and a good way to explore the area. The host is a very helpful and friendly man who is very accommodating of requests from guests.”

  • Lodge Kent & Cottage Kent Review score: 8.2

“Cute little guesthouse, very clean, without walking distance of Keith Haring Foundation and most important incredibly kind and friendly staff! They even offered to drive us to the train station so we don’t have to take a taxi. Highly recommended.”

  • “Very welcoming host. Clean and comfortable.”
