“The receptionist (who I think was also the owner) was friendly and helpful, and definitely made my journey in the area better. The dorms are wide, well lit and have a little sofa so you can chill during the day. Beds are comfortable with good curtains and a decent light.the kitchen is well equipped, whether you want to cook for yourself or have a conbini dinner.”
“Clean, comfortable rooms. Only a few beds (3-4) in each room, so you're not having to stay with too many people. Staff were friendly and helpful, even though they're only down in the reception area for limited hours a day.
Women-only dorm had one bunk bed and one single bed with a curtain dividing the two. I slept in the lower bunk, no complaints. Have to pass through the mixed dorm room to reach the women-only room, but there was a locked door between the two rooms that I assume only the guests for the women-only dorm have the key to. Not sure if mixed dorm room has a lock or key.
A bit of a walk from the station, but convenient location in a central part of town with coffee shops and restaurants nearby, easy access to the tourist loop bus stop.”
“A beautiful mix of modern and traditional, very private, lots of space and different rooms for relaxing, dining and sleeping - even a massive rooftop.
The owner answered every question and even gave me a big list of personalised recommendations based on my hobbies - thank you very much!”
“The place was amazing in a small hot spring village. It gave me the authentic feel of living in a traditional ryokan. The hosts were amazing and very helpful. They were able to help prepare a vegan breakfast for me. The hostspring was also a really great add on. The place was quiet and overall amazing. The best stay for me in Japan”
“The room was very clean and the check in was simple.
I made a mistake with the date so I contacted the staff and got immediate assistance without extra cost.
Thank you so much!”
“This place was an EXPERIENCE! We had to walk up the steep mountain hill to get there.
And there were scary bear signs! And there was trickling rivers and flourishing vegetation everywhere!
And then we made it up there, it was like a haven.
They got massages, massage chairs, gambling, a store, good breakfast/dinner buffet, and a nice onsen.
The view is amazing, if you get a good room - if you don't, take the elevator up to the observatory and watch the sun set on the horizon of the green mountains while you are getting a massage.”
