Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe place is a little souless that was probably due to low visitor numbers. Breakfast was pretty average.
Location is great, only a short walk to the entrance to the Petra site. Lots of choice of restaurants nearby and parking was easy ( on the road opposite the hotel for free). They kindly upgraded us to a room opening onto the pool on the third floor. The attached bar was nice. We stayed three nights to give us two full days at the site.

NorwayThe photos at booking.com look better than the reality of the rooms. This was a bit disappointing.
The hotel is in between several hotels, with a short walk to the Petra visitor center. This was really nice after many hours walking in Petra.

The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Rooms and beds are basic comfort, as were breakfast and dinner

SwedenThe food was okay but no better than that. We chose to eat out a couple of times instead. Watch out for the price of the local restaurants, they are insane! We paid over £100 for three sandwiches and three drinks in the Petra visitor's centre!
A five minute walk to the entrance to Petra makes this an ideally placed hotel. The room was very large with three double beds. It was clean and had plenty of storage. Some things were a little run down but nothing to worry about. The pool was nice but very cold (I mean VERY cold). Helpful staff.

CanadaGreat location only 5 minutes from visitor centre. Staff very warm and welcoming. They gave us a large room. Room was clean and comfortable but a little dated, if that matters to you. We were on a high floor and it was very quiet. Breakfast was high quality and good variety. Missing only fresh fruit.

HungaryThe location of the hotel is very good. 5 minutes by walk you can reach Petra Visitor Center and Petra Museum. There are plenty restaurants and supermarkets near to the hotel. The room is clean, the bed very comfortable. The weather was not so good during our stay so we couldn't use the pool.

United KingdomThe common areas and breakfast dining room are a little old-fashioned and impersonal but it’s not a boutique hotel and doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not.
The location so close to the entrance to Petra and the immensely helpful staff made this place an excellent choice. We walked to the local restaurants, the entrance to Petra, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The pool was a bonus - a haven of calm after a busy day walking in the heat in Petra.

BrazilPart of the staff was really nice. However there was one dinner not eaten in our account when we was checking out, included by the night receptionist. The guy responsible for the check out was the same for the check in and the act in advance asking if we had dinner. All was solved, however it is good to be attentive.
The location is the highlight here. Very close to Petra Visitor's Centre. Less than 5 min walking. Breakfast is ok. The facilities on common areas look good, however I had no time to enjoy it.

CroatiaThe hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the main entrance to Petra and is surrounded by a few shops and many restaurants. The staff was nice and explained everything well. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of food. There are two pools at the hotel which was perfect with our stay with a 11 year old :)

NetherlandsNothing, everything was fine. The hotel is bigger than you think and i often got lost. But thats just my lack of direction talking there. It was clean.
The location is fatastic. Closer to Petra is almost impossible. The staf was so nice and friendly. I was expecting one pool, there were two. !!!! Wich was so nice! The one on first floor had a beautiful gerdenisch feelling to it. The one on thirth floor had a realy pool vibe. (But working on another garden.) My heart goes out to the lady at the reception. She made me so happy and feeling welcome! And big credits to the gardeners, i know a bit about gardening and i can only imagine how diffecult it is building this. And keeping it this way! The breakfest was huge.

United KingdomThe pool on the first floor looked quite dirty, so we decided not to use it. Not a problem as the pool on the 3rd floor was very clean and a lovely area, so we were able to use that.
We thought the location of the hotel was great, it was less than 10 minutes walk down to the visitor centre. Aswell as 10 minutes walk from where the Jett bus stops. There are cafes/ restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel. Our room had doors that opened onto one of the pool areas (floor 3) which was nice. It was a lovely peaceful area to relax after a busy morning exploring petra.

United KingdomThe gentleman responsible for breakfast was quite rude and grumpy when I ask to have a table cleaned. He gave a sigh, no courtesy at all. The reception lady was smoking right in the reception, room was stinking cigarettes, when there was a clear sign of “no smoking” right there. Clearly the rules only apply to the guests.
Property is very close to the Petra Visitor Center entrance, which is convenient. The manager gave us a complimentary room upgrade and send some trates to our room, very kind of him. Staff is very helpful in general.
