Nothing - it was ace.

So many options for Wadi Rum but we wanted to stay in something reasonably authentic, with a good view of the desert and preferably with a family from the region. We went through all the reviews and photos of available camps and selected Khaled's camp as it ticked all these boxes. Khaled is a fun guy and runs a nice camp. The tours we booked through him were superb. The full day jeep tour is recommended as it's such an amazing day in the desert with lunch cooked by our guide Rashid, hikes, bouldering and sand boarding. Sunset views from the camp are amazing and the food is good and plentiful. The accommodation is basic but comfy and warm with superb views out over the desert.

I would have appreciated a better view from my tent – after all, looking straight into a sand dune from a beautiful large window isn’t ideal. But it wasn’t anything that spoiled my stay, especially since I was outside most of the time anyway. Everything else was top-notch.

I can highly recommend Khaled Camp – everything was just as we agreed. Khaled is a great and kind host, and so are his people. The camp is in a beautiful location and I was very well taken care of. And even though it’s not mentioned yet, there is working Wi-Fi in the common room. I’d be happy to return someday.

I liked everything

It feel like an Authentic Bedouin place. Khaled, the owner, was very helpful and kind. We stayed one night outside to see the stars and the provided mattresses and blankets for us. The food was great, too.

My stay in Khaleds Camp (which is inside the Protected Area of Wadi Rum) was an unique and amazing experience! The food was delicious, the tent clean and comfortable and the stuff always friendly. I also went on a Jeep Tour and a Hike Tour which was both an unforgetable experience! Last but not least to mention the stunning night sky after an beautiful sunset and a traditional tasty cup of tea. I will never forget my stay in Wadi Rum.

The location is perfect, right under the rock, where you can climb and have the view around everywhere, with cosy seating overlooking the camp. Common tent is cosy with a fireplace great for spending evenings. Amazing cleanliness in the tents given the desert conditions, we even had our own toilet and shower there. I recommend deluxe tent, sleeping and waking up with one wall completely made of glass was proper glamping experience and something we will remember for a long time. No worries about cold temperatures as blankets are really thick and there is even gas heater inside. Crew was really sweet, half day jeep tour was great way to see the desert. I can imagine spending more days in this special place.

We really loved all the people working there! We also made an awesome jeeptour with rasheed that we enjoyed a lot. In generell the camp was super cozy and welcoming and we would love to visit again.

The male shared bathroom is missing of some small things like towel hangers.

Great position ideal to visit any interesting point of the Wadi Rum desert. The rock just behind the camp is top for climbing up and enjoy the beautiful sunrise.

This camp IS amazing with breathtaking scenery in the heart of wadi rum... Khaled IS fantastic host with great atitude to tourist... Khaled was a very nice host. He always tries to make his guests feel at home! The camp is fantastic, camel tour, jeep tour, ballon ride.. everything was arranged. We will be back, next time in Jordan!

Not sure if a camp could be more perfect than this. Beautiful location, comfy tents, great attention to detail in public spaces. Loved every minute of our stay!! The food is also delicious, our compliments to the cook!

The best memories I have from my time in Jordan staying here!! Amazing food, really friendly staff, incredible location and a whole day Jeep and a camel ride - we were shown the best sites of wadi rum 😎 Our guide made us a the best lunch in the desert. Our huts were impressively cosy comfy and clean. They managed hot water for showers. The common tent where we ate was a fun space to connect with other campers and my friend and I ended up making more friends. I read through heaps of options for a Bedouin experience and I'm so happy we chose Moon city - thanks so much we hope to stay again for even longer next time !!

the people in the camp, the driver and guide during the dessert tour were very friendly and assisted where- and whenever necessary. Khaled himself is an extraordinary personality and full of stories and background information which he was well prepared to share after dinner in the dining tent.

The location Is stunning, howewer Is pretty "crowded" as you have other camps in sight, thought It was more secluded.

Khaled made us feel at home, and the camp is perfect, comfortable and beautiful - perfect for sunset watching too! The dinner was great and the tour was great, we would stay again in a heartbeat. P.s it is cold as it's a tent in the desert but you are provided with many blankets to keep warm.
