Loved the location layout of the property the bar n mini mart next door. Closeness to boats for day trips. I liked that it was more on the end of the 7 mile less crowded and the staff was amazing and really helpful. It will be my go to hotel when I’m in Negril

The menu selection is quite limited. We were there for only three days, but if I had eaten there all week, I probably would have found it a bit boring. A small tip for the owner: I really liked that you get a cocktail upon check-in, but if it were served in a proper glass, like they do in the bar, it would feel even more classy.

A true resort feeling. The room was beautiful and tastefully decorated, with a lovely bathroom. We had a room facing the “garden,” with a small terrace that had a table and two chairs. It was very peaceful, and we didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The grounds are swept and cleaned all day, and the staff are friendly and always greet you. The restaurant and bar are really nice, and you can enjoy good breakfast, meals, and drinks. The cocktails are delicious. 🙂 The restaurant has a stunning view of the beach, and the sunset is fantastic—pure romance. We’re not really beach people, but every day we had a fresh beach towel, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a white sandy beach with blue sea… what more could you want?

We wouldn’t be able to use enough superlatives to describe Travellers, it’s staff, property and facilities. It is spotlessly clean and well located. However, the staff were the absolute stand out feature of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. The team clearly work very well together, are very accommodating which results in excellent food and a very comfortable stay. We had a few minor issues that Wingate fixed efficiently, going above and beyond to make sure that we felt safe and comfortable in a new room with a complimentary drink and at no rush. We were there for a family funeral, as well as a rest before I start my PhD, so our stay was mixed but the hotel made a tricky time as stress free as possible. It is a family owned and run business and we would definitely recommend supporting local and hope to be back very soon.

Wifi was an issue in our room and the water came through the shower, so we had to put down towels (this was provided). I'd also recommend that they invest in electric towel racks as things took quite a while to dry in the room. While you can put things outside on the balcony, the speed at which things dry depends on the weather and how the sun is angled. I'd also recommend that they put in an actual kettle rather than the coffee machine. I probably didn't know how it worked as I'm not a coffee drinker, but it took quite some time to heat water. A normal kettle with instant coffee packs might be a happy medium- more tea bags also. Random one, we had a ceiling fan which worked well it's just that for it to be on, the light also needed to be on. Having the cord that would allow you to turn the light off while keeping on the fan would be good. While the music playing was nice, I felt that sometimes it went on for too long. However the receptionist assured me that this isn't commonplace and they were able to turn it down when I asked.

Really great staff and beautiful grounds. The caretakers kept the grounds tidy and also raked the beach each morning. Every single member of staff was welcoming and very down to earth. You can also see the investment that has gone into upkeeping the place, the tiles in the bathrooms are aslo really nice. AC worked well and there was a ceiling fan. Nice linens and small amenities The food was also really good and it was easy to traverse as taxis pass directly outside the hotel. The receptionists can also organise drivers for you. It's not far from knutsford express or the cliff. Direct beach access. Reception was also quite proactive in dealing with any issues we had with the room. They provide a WhatsApp number which makes it easy to communicate with them . They allowed crafts person on site to sell their wares They weren't hagglers and very respectful, there is also a gift shop on site (Patoo I think). I think generally, it would be good to see more variety in what is being offered e.g. specialist soaps, skincare or, maybe someone doing caricatures. It would make it more unique as most of the shops sell exactly the same thing which at times may come across as gimmicky and not always usable. GREAT DJ

I didn't like that I wasn't able to tip on debit or credit card at the resort's restaurant. It would be nice to have an ATM on site for guests. In order to access cash at an ATM you'll have to take a 5 minute cab ride, that will cost ya $20 in addition to the ATM fees. It would be helpful for the gift shop to sell some more necessities for guests & be open with regular hours.
