Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLimited, boring, and same breakfast..Sausages or bacon. Why not both. Can we have grilles tomatoes and grilled Mushrooms or even callaloo. Cornflakes or cornflakes. needs an egg station so guests can choose what type of egg they want. Current have only wet flavourless scrambled eggs. Why can't we have an onlette or just a fried egg without an extra charge. After all this is suppose to be a five star hotel. Lack of free spa Dirty and cheap looking furniture and rugs in lobby. Not a good look.
Staff were great The pool area nice 24 hour options Bar food and service good.

JamaicaPegasus is always my first choice, but i have noticed the food is not up to par for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was usually samey and needed more variety. Needs in season jamaican Fruits like Mango naseberry otahiti apple etc. Local fruits are needed at the buffet. And presented in slices not bungled in a large bowl.More ackee and saltfish and callaloo. Too much cheap steam cabbage. Chocolate tea would be great. Display ingredients to make your own salad.... like ... sliced red onions, olives, cheese, sliced ham, smoked salmon, sweet corn, cucumber , grated carrot, red sweet pepper, Beetroot, string beans, radish, Avocado, redpeas and other pulses. Dinner dishes lack seasoning. Need some Thyme scotch bonnet pepper garlic and pimento in the seasoning Need stew beef and cow foot. Whole fish, please. Roast sweet potato, please.Less sugar in the meats. All beautifully displayed. Old fashion is dated Bless.

United KingdomI only have 2 negatives. The energy salad sold by the cafeteria was below par. 75% of it was just lettuce. Apart from the beans and a few nuts there was little else that could be called a "salad", e.g. tomatoes, carrots, cucumber etc. I found it was overpriced for what was included. Secondly, the surrounding neighbourhood does not have a selection of good restaurants. There are plenty of fast food places but for finer dining there are no real options besides the hotel restaurant.
The Pegasus was excellent - a beautifully decorated property throughout with a large bright lobby with comfy chairs and a cafeteria with a fair selection of dishes. The property itself is immaculate and the addition of the outside jogging trail through the lovely garden was a real treat. I also appreciated the well equipped gym which I used during my stay. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of choices of both local and foreign dishes. The room was a really good size and had great views over Emancipation `Park. It was comfortable, with lots of light and well apportioned. I was extremely satisfied with the hotel in general

United KingdomUnfortunately, the whole hotel is in need of a makeover. While the reception area, upstairs bar and restaurant are ok, the room areas and rooms are not great. Our deluxe room was small, tired with a sliding bathroom door that did not close. The bathroom was small and the windows did not close properly so the noise from outside was quite loud. The gym and meeting rooms really just need updating and upstairs just felt shabby. As mentioned before, although some staff members were great, others just didn't seem bothered and getting coffee at breakfast was sometimes quite an effort. Food selection at breakfast was also a bit hit and miss with fruit sometimes full and other times lacking. The shop was useful, but so expensive! As a conference venue, it did seem very busy in the week, which was to be expected, but made us feel a bit uncomfortable at meal times as it was busy.
The Pegasus is a landmark hotel in New Kingston and has been for decades. It is in a great location, however, there are other hotels now available in New Kingston. It has many facilities, including a 24/7 cafe which is very useful when travelling from different time zones. The gym was good but could do with updating and having all machines working. The reception area is bright, airy and welcoming and the staff on reception were helpful. Parking is good with some great security guards who were very helpful. The restaurant is pretty good with some team members extremely helpful and friendly (Richard I think his name was, was great) but some not so much and service can be slow. Pool area is great with a nice bar area.

United StatesCoffee was extra extra strong to the point of being bitter both in dinning and suites.
Requests for extra services during breakfast were gladly carried out. Waiter at dinner on the May 10th performed exceptional services. He was very attentive to my mom's dinner request adjustment. Happy birthday song by his coworkers for my sister's birthday on that same day. Enjoyed Mother's Day Performance in the Garden.

United KingdomBar menu over priced. 24/7 cafe reasonable but had to check if soup was actually being made for that day. Cafe staff very laid back and a little unprofessional. I had to ask for her to check if soup was actually on that day, she wasn't sure. So I had to suggest she call the kitchen. Needless to say there was more friendly and staff who didn't seem so bored! Also bathroom door kept sliding back. I meant to tell front desk, but forgot. Maybe go round and check rooms when empty.
Quick easy check in. Staff polite. Porter told us about microwave and checked fridge and air con was OK.
