Flush on the toilet wasn't filling; we had to fill it up with buckets. In all fairness, they offered to change the room, and we were fine to stay!

Very cute hotel, on the eastern coast of Jamaica. It can be a great starting place to explore that corner of Jamaica up to the north eastern beaches of Jamaica, and the Reach Falls (take the hike from the bottom of the river to the fall park!). Breakfast was included, and fair, on Jamaican style (time was a bit late: 9-10am). The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our cottage was nice for two people, with AC and fridge. Jamaican menu available for dinner.

The only bad thing were the roads up to the location from Kingston. But thankfully they are well on the way to being resurfaced!

This location was very beautiful the plants and walkways surrounding the property made it mystical and enchanting. The cabins were clean and comfortable. The staff members were friendly and inviting. The calming voice of Marlon immediately made you feel welcome at the property. Overall a peaceful tranquil stay away from the hustle and bustle of town life!

What's not to like? Exactly what we wanted. We were so well-rested.

Food options limited

Fantastic eco get away..the senerity of the property was just what we were looking for. Close to attractions..beach..waterfalls etc. Biggest selling point was the staff..Friendly and attentive..made us feel like family. I cant wait to go back. Movie night on Sunday by the pool was a hit with everyone.

Nothing. Note, as of August 2024 if you are coming from Kingston: the south coast highway that will stretch from the east of the capital to the top of the Portland parish is still under construction after Morant bay. The road is usable by all types of cars but allow yourself extra time compared to what a GPS / Google maps tells you if you want to arrive early, as they are sections which are not tarmacked yet.

This hotel is a gem in East Portland. We have visited Jamaica many times over the years and stayed in different styles of hotels and guest houses in all parts of the island, and to date I can say that the owner, Marlon, is the best host i have met in Jamaica. Right from before our arrival to the end of our stay we felt welcomed and comfortable. He gave us lots of useful advice on things to do in the area. The staff is very friendly, we were very well looked after. The hotel is very well presented. We were a group of 5 , and stayed in one of the cabins and one of the garden rooms, which are nested in lush tropical plants and flowers. That makes them feel very private. The rooms are pretty (especially the cabin) and spacious, and very clean and comfy. The WiFi coverage is great everywhere in the hotel . The bar by the swimming pool has a good selection of drinks and hot food if you don't feel like venturing out, as well as a selection of games to keep the family entertained. The hotel also has several view points overlooking the sea by the cliffs. Great spot to watch the sunrise. Note : although there is an access to the bottom of the cliffs just outside the hotel, there is no beach as such within walking distance, but there are beaches within a few minutes drive. Attractions like Reach Falls, Boston bay , Blue Lagoon are all within easy reach by car. We will definitely come back if we visit this area again !

Jamaica Colours is such a beautiful, hidden, and welcoming oasis. The place has an unexplained peaceful presence; It's Eden! I love the barefoot experience into the dining area - there's a powerful connection to nature. The host was fantastic and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and very welcoming, too .

The 24 hrs seem to past faster than usual

My experience at this facility with my family was exceptional. I have since requested a similar bed so that I can replicate how comfortable I slept. The staff was professional and polite. We are already planning to return later this year. On our way out we followed direction and walked down the foot trail to the sea.. it's a MUST see when you visit...and off course we did enjoy a double serving of calaloo and fry fritters

We were greeted before we even finished parking the car. We were given a tour of the entire property and then shown to our room. Eldon and Shaneka were delightful and helpful in finding great spots on and off the property. We had an amazing weekend. There's also a little gift shop with some amazing items so if you forgot something essential like I did you can pick it up there. Overall we got great service with had some amazing views of the Caribbean Sea.

No greetings on arrival. No local telephone contact number. It was clear - staff were not aware of our booking/arrival. We almost sought alternative accommodation. Hospitality training is recommended for the staff...

The room was clean, pleasant. Breakfast was passable: one option; content a little disappointing (limited).
