There are lots of mosquitos in the whole area, which cannot be avoided in a natural costal area like this...but definitely take mosquito repellent.

The host was very good at communicating with us on the day of check in and the instructions for check in were clear and easy to follow. He even allowed us to check in early and upgraded our apartment due to availability, which was a lovely surprise. The gardens and pool at White Sands are beautiful and well kept. The surrounding area has a rural feeling but it is only about a 10 min walk to get to the beautiful Porto Istana beach. I would recommend having a car if you are visiting this area as walking to murta maria would be a bit hard going in the summer. On the day of checkout, we were informed we could continue to use the common facilities at white sands including pool, parking and shower area until we needed to go to the airport. The host was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return. Oh and the air conditioning worked very well!

Kitchenware needs to be updated. Windows should be sealed with mosquito nets as I hardly slept due to mosquitos during the nights. Swimming pool is allowed only in certain hours.

It was easy to access through WhatsApp when we needed. There is a toilet with showers at the reception for the use of checked out customers. We used it post enjoying a beach day after the checkout. Beach is just 8-10 mins away by walk. Main entrance of the residence is secured through a pincode. Plenty of space at the car park.

Only very small details like there being no salad spinner! We chose to eat in a lot and would have really appreciated one. Other than that, all was and is good.

This is a beautiful place. The pool is kept very clean and the gardens are beautiful too. The staff team are lovely And the beaches only a five minute walk away are lovely too. But go early!

The sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable.

The grounds were very well maintained. The pool was fabulous. The staff friendly, helpful and responded VERY quickly. It was quiet and located just a short walk away from a great beach with crystal water and soft sand. Highly recommend!

We are family of 5 and the biggest problem was kitchen equipment (2 spoons, 3 knives, 4 plates..). As it is residence with kitchenette, there is no place in surrounding where you can go for breakfast (unless you drive to the closest village), it was quite annoying. As already mentioned wi-fi has very bad signal.

Residence is very close to the sea, really just 5-6 minutes to walk. Swimming pool available, very clean and in great conditions. Parking available. Sandro was very helpful and informative.

It’s far from beach 10-12 min walk and beach crowded, but most beaches in Sardinia like that. Sofa bed is very uncomfortable, not possible to sleep on it. Swimming pool has strong chlorine smell.

I'm worried that if I said how good we felt at White Sand, it would make it harder for me to book here in the future. We really liked the discretion of the staff, the proximity to the pool and the beach, the quietness, the fact that the temperature was just perfect even when we had lunch on the veranda in front of our apartment, the simplicity of the place with all the necessary comfort. Sandro is an extraordinary candid and pleasant man in the interaction with the guests. I bet that every new guest bombards him with a thousand questions, but he takes all the time to answer each one with patience and passion. Sandro is one of the strong assets that White Sand has and we hope to return here as soon as possible.

Fantastic stay at White Sands, very comfortable and charming apartment on lovely grounds with a gorgeous pool. Only a stone's throw from a really stunning beach. Everything was very clean, and Sandro was very helpful. A short drive to Murta Maria with lovely reasonable restaurants and cafes. Cafe Nonnas had great coffee and the best pistachio croissants. Restaurant Murta Maria had great pizza, and Il Fare was well worth the drive, but do book ahead. You definitely need a car here. Will stay again. Porto Istana beach is stunning.

If wifi would reach into the apartment it would have been perfect since to discover the island it's necessary to check for beach locations/routes/restaurant/supermmarket locations. Luckily the wifi reached the pool area very well so we stayed at the pool many times 😁 We discovered the northern part of the island, with pacific-blue water, and beautiful beaches and nice little harbours Furthermore the host, Sandro was very helpful in facilitating our stay

Local beach whilst stunning, is absolutely rammed. No BBQs possibly due to the wildfire risk, Wi-Fi was really weak

Swimming pool was great, local beach was stunning, the staff were really friendly/ helpful. It's quite isolated (2.3k to the nearest restaurant/ supermarket), initially we saw this as negative as we didnt have a car, however we soon got used to it and actually enjoyed the fact it was quite remote, I was happy walking to the supermarket but it's not for all and I'd probably recommend hiring a car for most people. Initially we freaked because there wasnt a kettle but again embraced that and used the italian espresso maker (coffee smelt amazing in that little thing!). The quiet 'rustic' nature of the property possibly isnt for all, but it grew on us and we ended up having an amazing stay & loved it. Definitely recommended but may not suit everyone's tastes

Poor facilities in the kitchen and apartment, bring your own basics. And when your neighbours had a party at night (or sneezed) it was like being part of it. But we managed :)

The property was around a 30 minute walk to the closest town and supermarket. We would definitely suggest having a car as everything other than the beach is a little too far to walk in the heat and you have to walk on a main road.

The road to the hotel is unpaved, which wouldn't have been such a downside if there weren't really deep potholes. On the first day, I was afraid for the undercarriage of the car. On the last day, they did partly fix the road and patch up the holes. One major downside is the extreme humidity and staleness in the apartment. When we arrived on the first day, I thought it was because the room had been closed for a long time. However, even intensive ventilation and use of air conditioning for dehumidification did not help. The bed was actually damp all the time and even the clothes started to smell musty. It was uncomfortable to sleep in such an environment. It's a real pity because the gentleman who looks after the hotel is very friendly and the whole complex has potential for development. As a comment on the accommodation provider, I would add that I regret not reading the old reviews. The stuffiness and the smell of mold are not only at the start of the season, but are problems that persist all the time in your rooms.

The hotel manager is extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting beautiful beaches. In fact, there are gorgeous beaches just 7 minutes away. The hotel complex also looks very nice from the outside.

It is pretty difficult to get to from Olbia without a car in the off season as you really have to hit the mark with the public buses (but still better than most other places). There also is no wi-fi.

The place is in a nice segregated compound, which tends to be very quiet. There is a stunning roof terrace with a great view. The beach itself is about a 7 minute walk away, which is not too bad either. The flats have A/Cs as well that are nice to have.
