It was an amazing place. The accommodation was a very roomy renovated cave house with 2 bedrooms and 2 great bathrooms. The host was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. It was a great location inside the old Sassi district with access to several restaurants in the street if you didn’t want to climb the stairs. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Some street noise, but not too late and it became very quiet after 10:00 pm.

This property was very new and spotless. It also had luxuries not found in many private bookings, ie toiletries, historical books, candy. It was tastefully decorated. It is in a very good location within the old town in close proximity to many restaurants and amenities. Our landlord was quick to respond to our arrival and explained, through translator, (as we did not speak Italian) all the various requirements of the home. 5 stars for this property.

The property was in an amazing town, central for everything (restaurants and sightseeing), our host was very helpful, and the property was immaculate

No on site parking meant that we had to carry our bags which is challenging over cobblestone streets and pay 50 euros for 2 nights of overnight parking. The extra expenses add up. Otherwise was great!

Wonderful location just across the street from the Romanae Thermae baths in the old Sassi. So many extras - the host left milk, snacks, the apartment is so well appointed and has so many unique and lovely features. Easy check in process. Highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing!

Everything is perfect. Stylish decoration, super clean & comfortable, best location, very nice owner. For family of 4, we have 2 nice single beds (not sofa bed!) and a comfy double bed, 2 bathrooms and toilets (deodorants is a nice touch!) Big lobby area. The kitchen is great. Everything you need are there. Love the espresso machine. Full of goodies for everyone.

Host was fantastic. He was very friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Had coffee and cookies plus various snacks. We have been almost a month in Italy and this was the most stock place we have stayed in. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was good. Highly recommended.

Everything! This was such an incredible accommodation. The 'cave' had been renovated and transformed 5 years prior. We as a family of four had plenty of room and it was perfectly located nearby very good restaurants and easy access to the nearby piazza's. The host was so helpful when I needed things booked for me and he provided detailed information around parking our car nearby in a garage. He even met us at the garage and helped us with our bags the short distance to the accom. Can't fault this place at all. And Matera in general - just mind blowing!

Beautiful renovated cave house done to a very high standard. We enjoyed staying here for 2 nights as it was perfect for our family of four. The beds were extremely comfortable , there was everything you needed for a short stay . The host was an absolute pleasure to meet and we had a lovely conversation through google translate. The property is in a fantastic location and matera is stunning. We really appreciated all the little extras provided by the host .would love to return to matera and would 100% stay here again.

This is undoubtedly one of the most interesting places we have ever stayed. The setting is dramatic and amazing. Our host, Gianni, was incredible, and helped us with a tricky situation. We loved every minute of her stay!

The bathroom on the second floor was quite small and there's minimal privacy as there aren't actual bedrooms but as long as you are prepared for this, it isn't too much of an issue.

Very clean, comfortable beds, tea/coffee/sweets provided. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. We loved the location of the apartment too!

Not an issue for us with a 1 night stay, but don't pack too much as it is a short walk to get there

The apartment is beautiful and perfectly appointed. It seems like everything was considered during the design and decoration. The staff is excellent in making sure you have everything you need and keeping the place spotless.
