Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

SerbiaCommunication was a bit difficult, the day before check-in they contacted us several times about the same information that we had already submitted and suggested that they transfer us to another accommodation that did not suit us. It was a bit unusual, but the next day everything was ok, they came at the agreed time and check-in was easy, we got the room we booked at the end. it was ok, although a bit overpriced.
The bedding was clean, the bathroom was ok. Our room was a bit smaller, but we were only there for one night, and it was ok for that period.

SpainIt was mentioned on booking.com that the property offers parking. It does not offer parking and the property staff did not suggest any public parking nearby, we had to look for it ourselves. The property staff insisted on committing to an exact check in time 2 days before which was challenging for us since we were on a road trip. When we asked on the same day early in the morning if it was possible to check in 2 hrs earlier (around 5PM), the property rejected our request highliting that our agreed time was 7PM. Just a few hours later, they reached out to us and postponed the check in time till 7:30PM. We were shocked by the lack of flexibility from their side and a demand of full flexibility from our side. The property is not in the city center and requires commuting so we had to commute twice, first after parking going for a stroll in the city center, then coming back only for the delayed check in, then back to the center for dinner.
The property is very nice, and its location are very good, close to metro and bus stop.

United StatesThey held us to our check in time too harshly by calling and texting - they don’t have a dedicated staff member available at the property to assist you- so it’s you have to make an appointment to check in. We took the wrong bus - and we held to a 5 pm check in- but they called and texted about our arrival for the staff member to leave the property, as again there is no dedicated member to receive you. There were also a lot of mosquitoes in the room- so many that I can wake up in the night and see them on the pillows and on the cushion headboard. The bed itself was broken- the frame was not attached and could not be held in place. If you move the frame would fall apart. It constantly rocked during the night knocking on the wall if someone rolled in the bed. Really overpriced for the experience. The room had no welcoming feel- no water, so mini-fridge to store drinks, no cups, no napkins, no coffee, nothing- nothing to make it feel like home. Again, greatly overpriced.

ItalyOur room wasn’t ready until 8:30 in the evening/ 20:30h! And checkout was in the morning so it was too expensive considering the time we had the room for! I guess it’s alright if you don’t plan to rest during the day, in our case it was raining and that made it difficult to stay out all day.
The decor of the room is very unique and the room is spacious and comfortable. The location is good, you can walk to the center or it is close to the public transport

PhilippinesI stayed for 4 days, the internet for the first 2 nights were working and reported that it didn't work for my 3rd and 4th night but they never bothered fixing this. Reported this in person and via Whatsapp. I reserved thru Booking but they pressured me to head to the check-in as early as possible or they will be giving my slot away to a walk-in customer.
The location was great, it was 2 stops away from termini the main station and is very safe and convenient! There was also always water available, via water dispenser.

ItalyAPPEARANCE AND CLEANLINESS Cleanliness and appearance underwhelming. The pictures on the platform are a mere act of marketing, very well taken. The colours are definitely less vibrant then shown on the website. Less illuminated and very badly kept. Wall lamps lean to their sides, almost as if they are gonna fall any moment soon. The entrance gate is followed by a small stair, with flowers and carpet. Everything is exactly as shown in the images but less appealing. The palace offers a tremendous potential yet it looks like it lacks maintenance. Bed sheets were seamingly washed but still stained on one side by unknown substance. Feet towel in the bathroom was wet (yet to understand if a washing residue or somebody else's showering water, considering there were still stains in the shower itself). SERVICES Standard to point out the lack of a regular bidet. A water hose is attached on the wall to allow a high pressure pulse. Honorable mention to an inefficient, almost unacceptable heating system. You either like it cold or have to bear with an unsettling air conditioning system and its sound for the whole night (or even worse, an electric heater that can only be placed on one of the 2/3 power outlets of the room, far from the sides of the bed). Very uncomfortable bed and sheets. They're too old. It was like sleeping in my great grandma's sheets. It might cause itch, but it definitely helps like nothing in keeping yourself warm.. using all the sheets in there gave us bare to no warmth at all. The room also happens to be tall (at least 4/6 meters), too much for the heating systems offered. ORGANIZATION Check-in due between 3 to 4pm. Upon structure's request we shortened the gap to 3pm to max 20mins afterwards. At 3pm we get notified the room is available not earlier than 5.30pm. Leaving us 1.30 hrs to check-in. The baggage keeping service (given all the inconveniences on our arrival) is unattended. Reception only available at few times of the day.
BATHROOM Autonomous water heating granting real boiling hot water for showering (its a must in a turism centered city where you might find yourself walking all day long and in need of a restoring hot shower to drop off muscular tension). Packed mono-dose hand soap, shower gel and shampoo were provided. AUTOMATION AND SECURITY Automated wifi key access to both rooms and place itself. Wireless keys and smart locks. Very innovative and I happen to be a fan of innovation, mostly in places like this, which appears to be ancient. APPEARANCE AND LOOK Good looking mansion, old styled very intriguing.

FranceIssues: - only one towel in the room instead of the usual 3 + foot towel - no blanket for the night: if you are cold, you are on your own - the WiFi was not working at all - at reservation it is said that only cash payment is necessary, but the property asks for a credit card afterwards (allowed by booking policies, but not convenient and much unclear at reservation time); if not provided, the property *cancels* the reservation although it has been *confirmed* beforehand (happened to a colleague of mine) - answers to the chat messages are almost non existing - contacts to the property by phone are not easy (e.g. the number communicated by chat is not always answering) - check-in was difficult, but cleaning staff much helpful (kudos to them - only) - biggest issue of all: the payment. Cash is requested, but if you do not arrive with the exact amount, you can forget to get back the extra (at least I had to). No matter what the amount is -luckily really not much in my case, as I happened to get close enough- this is simply not acceptable. It was agreed that I would have found the extra back in the room at night, but this did not happen, nor apologies/clarifications were provided after my complaints via booking chat; - despite having left all my contacts (phone, email) the receipt was provided only after much insistence, was not nominative, and displayed the amount the property got from me, different from the reservation: not giving back the money seems to have been intentional
The place is in a OK building in a quiet street, convenient to reach the city center on foot. The room is nice.

AustraliaThere was a cigarette burn in the sheet. Squished mosquito remains on the wall (i get it, there were 8 mozzies in the room at sleep time). The shower - the water tap was fully broken, but still usable, albeit difficult. The location is a little out of the way, but still in a quiet street.
Air con. Staff were friendly. Bedroom was neat and tidy. Other reviews were pretty harsh with regards to the rooms not being ready at agreed check in time, and granted, she was cleaning the room as I got there (at 5), but she was fast, kind and attentive. Zero problems w check in :)

Beds were uncomfortable, no.fridge in room and the water dispenser on the first floor was empty. We were advertised a luxury suite and it was very far from it. Spain1. Very dirty: curtains with blood stains, sofa with stains, hairs on the blankets. 2. Very noisy: it is near a hospital and you constantly hear the ambulances and general traffic. 2. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The blankets we had for a double bed were too small on the sides. 3. CanadaThe bed is not super comfortable… but it was stylish and had charm. I had a short sleep not due to the bed but from the washing machine going throughout the night and the pipes sounded like they were just on the other side of the bedroom.
I enjoyed the quiet area, it was close to bus stops but quite far away from main attractions. It suited me fine since I enjoyed walking. The space was very charming and the staff are really hospitable and kept things very clean, albeit the building is pretty old.

PortugalI didn´t feel safe there. There is no one at reception and the place feels abandoned. The main door is open. Only the street gate is closed with electronic code. There were constructions going on in the 1st level, so there were random people entering the building and construction noise. Noise isolation is very weak. Lots of noise coming from the street during the night. Check-in/out hours are bad.
They clean the room every day. The rooms have private eletronic keys. The air conditioner.

PortugalThe worst was the check-in experience. They said it was from 5 p.m., which was already late, but then they kept delaying it until I said I couldn't wait any longer. After waiting for a long time alone at the entrance, where there was no waiting area, a staff member finally came to the check-in. However, the room was not even ready, and I had to wait a bit longer so the person could clean and prepare the room for me. I entered the room 2h30 later than the check-in time. The next day I asked to do a check-out 30 min later than the agreed time (10.30 am), but when I arrived at the hotel at 10.50 am a person had already entered my room and taken my luggage from there. While I had to wait 2h30 for them, they could not wait 20 min. Was charged the amount as there were no delays from their side and never received an apology.
The facilities are good and comfortable. I was given a nice large room.
