Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaBusy and crazy traffic in the neighbourhood. Weak wifi signal in the room.
Lots of space, nice building with garden and terrace. Magnificent view from the terrace. Close to Herculaneum and Pompei.

A traditional Italian villa adapted to be a modern hotel. Large rooms, some with kitchens. The terrace has amazing views: one side the sea and the cities on the coastline, the other side mount Vesuvius. Very near the train station.

BulgariaThe room was cold when we arrived (in Jan) and difficult to heat initially furniture is very old and used poor gsm coverage
We have visited the villa for the last week of Jan 2025, renting the basic room named "Dependance". The villa in general is a perfect place for people with cars and/ or kids. There is a big yard with toys for kids to play, outdoor gym, free private parking for guests, BBQ, a big terrace with pizza oven.. The room is very basic, where if you aren't picky, there is everything inside to cook, eat, take a shower and sleep. We had some issues heating the room with the AC, but a discussion with the owner solved that problem. The gsm coverage in the area is very very bad, fortunately good speed WiFi is available in and around the villa. Besides that, we enjoyed the Naples, Amalfi and Pompeii and this part of Italy a lot!

IsraelThe wifi was very weak and almost didn't work. There are lots of stairs on the way to the room. Those who are in the outer building can not enter the play area without an entrance card. The request to clean dishes is unnecessary, I would clean it in any case as I do in any accommodation
Even though there is no reception, the girl helped us quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and very big. Parking is convenient especially for those who are in the outer building. Relatively close to Main Street. Fun play area for children with basketball and bicycles. Beautiful view of the volcano.

PolandA beautiful, stylish villa with spacious rooms, well-equipped with everything needed for a longer stay. The location isn't the worst, but it would be helpful to provide some information about the internal transportation, as it's quite difficult for people from outside Italy to navigate the buses. There is a ban on organizing parties at the villa; however, we witnessed a party organized by what appeared to be friends of the host, which seems a bit hypocritical. Additionally, for a longer stay like ours, it would be nice if the maid could at least clean the floors, as, despite our efforts to maintain order, dirt always finds its way into the room. Check-in is entirely remote, with no contact with a real person (which can sometimes be a plus), but responses to questions are also delayed.

RomaniaWe would suggest small improvements, so the guest experience can be better in the future. A better description of the room and bathroom. We got confused when booking and thought "private bathroom" means "en suite", but at arriving there we find that Pompei apartment had the bathroom on the corridor, the door of it facing the door of the room. It was not very convenient that every time you use the bathroom you cross the corridor which is used by the guests from other 2 rooms. It is not convenient with small kids especially. So, if visiting the place again we would book the room with bathroom inside. Some fixing of the shower insulation which was leaking water on the floor and it was difficult to keep the bathroom clean, as there is no floor drain and no natural ventilation from a window. Some fixing of the stove (2 positions out of 4 did not work). Some fixing of the furniture (e.g., the freezer door is difficult to open; the bunk bed was a little noisy at any movement, maybe it needs oiling at joints).
We like the entire property, with the big garden used as relaxing area and parking cars between trees (+the possibility to park in the closed street in front of the villa), the fair amount of space in the room, the nice little balcony (we could enjoy the sun and also dry some beach items). The upper terrace is also very nice and accessible to everyone. The linen and towels were clean and it was very nice to receive another set of towels after 3 days of stay. The shower was hot and water pressure good enough. It is possible to do laundry in the common area, which is nice, but we got no need to use it. This is a clean and quiet spot in the messy area of Naples and we very much appreciated this. The 2 other rooms on our corridors received multiple rounds of guests during the week we stayed there and we observed that cleaning was done every time and boxes of clean linen and towels were brought. About the area, which is something the Villa admins can not influence. You can reach the train station in less than 5 min if you don't use a car. There are some grocery shops nearby (Deco and Sole365, easy to reach by car and walk a little longer), coffee places and restaurants and pizzerias. The area is peaceful and looks safe. No good option for the beach. Nearby beaches are poorly maintained. Lots of garbage in the water and on the beach. We used the car everyday to go towards Sorrento area to find a clean beach. Little amount of space for actual public beaches (generally you need to pay for sunbeds if you want beach access, even in the dirty beaches), but generally you can find free spots for towels after 17.00. And this is applicable along a large distance along the coast :(.

SlovakiaRandom fireworks at around 01:00 one night from some neighbors, but hopefully it is not usual.
Around 10-15 minutes walk from 2 train stops and supermarket. Accommodations in a small villa with multiple rooms/houses. Our apartment DEPANDANCE was one room building on the premises of the villa next to the entrance gate. It consists of one bedroom with small kitchen area and own shower and toilet. Kitchen included all the essentials for cooking with bought ingredients. Nothing special but enough for overnight stay and then exploring during the day. Drinking water provided by dispenser in common area. Coin operated washing machine also in the common area is a big plus. Nice sea view from top floor terrace. Hosts living directly in the villa.

SwedenThe twin bed was terrible, with a big ditch in the middle.
Friendly and helpful hosts and a beautiful building with a scenic view. Also a cosy, spacious garden. While the property is ideally situated near the train station, providing easy access to the city and Sorrento, I would recommend renting a car for your stay. The bus service to the beaches can be a bit unreliable. However, you’ll find plenty of charming cafés and a well-stocked supermarket just a 12-minute walk away, making it convenient to explore the local area on foot. Good Air Conditioning.

IrelandThe view from the balcony is astounding, we were in the Amalfi room, it is small, but perfectly adequate for a couple for a few nights, when out and about touring during the day, the sunset and dinner on the balcony in the evening made it so special. AND it's a quiet oasis after busy busy Italy. I feel a car is necessary, makes it a great location for visiting all the archaeological sites in the area

United StatesLocation! Leopardi is a lovely little town. The Villa is an easy 10 minute walk from the Leopardi station which is on the Circumvesuviana. Only a 45 minute ride from Naples and really convenient to Pompeii and Herculaneum. There are fruit stands, a grocery store, cafes, and a pizzeria all in about 5-10 minutes walk. Gelataria Minella is INCREDIBLE. Amazing views. Private balcony from our room and the shared balcony is large and well shared. The room was well equipped, easy to make breakfast and dinner in the room.

SlovakiaThe only thing I didn't like is that in the evening there is not a close place to buy food/drinks so you have to think about it in advance and do the shopping earlier or in some other place.
I really liked the accommodation. It was clean, the room looked freshly painted, I didn't have big expectations since we were a group of students travelling with low budget but this was much better than I expected. For that price a very good deal.
