Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Canadathe bathroom didn't have hand towels holders near the sink, it was the most basic bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel, nowhere to place your toiletries inside the shower, but the shower floor, no safe for your passports, money, no mini fridge, basically just a bed and a desk and a closet in the room.
We liked that it had free parking, the room was good, and the grounds very clean. No breakfast included. It has a pool and a bar. It's more like a private home than a resort, available for people to use the pool during the day, probably for an entrance fee even if they don't stay there, I think they only had two rooms available for sleeping there, but I am not sure. In the evening the large patio was rented for a private event, and we seemed to be the only people there that were not part of the event. It was a short 5 min drive to the cruise port, we took a cruise the next day. There was no food available on location while we were there.

United StatesThe only drawback was the pool area and bar closed at 6pm. I made due by just buying a bottle of wine each night! They served lunch, but not dinner! I recommend you download the app Glovo, it's like Door-Dash, and just order dinner and have it delivered! There's always a way to get around things! The property itself is definitely worth the few minor disadvantages! Trust me!
The owner and staff went above and beyond to help me! I did not speak Italian, and they didn't speak English! But, it all worked out just fine! The special touches they did throughout my stay was just so special!

United StatesNot having access to the pool was a bummer. However they explained everything clearly and made accommodations for a late night dinner.
Our hotel stay was based on traveling on a cruise the next day out of the port nearby. The staff was very friendly, specifically Julia. She is an angel. She was kind, helpful and had a sense of urgency that we. truly appreciated. Her english was great. She was thoughtful and kind. She explained everything. The date that we arrived, there was a private party so we didn't have access to the pool. However the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend staying there if you would like to get a way from the central area near the port. The property was literally a 5 minute drive to the port.

South AfricaThe accommodation is perfect. Unfortunately it is way off the beaten track and you need a car to stay there There is no bus service or uber available so you have to rely on taxis @ € 30 one way. If there was a shuttle service available, it would have been perfect

AustraliaThe location was in the middle of nowhere that you could walk to. The port and the town centre would have been close to an hr to walk but the busy narrow road made it impossible to even try, so need a taxi to get anywhere. Also there is no reception and the few staff members barely speak English. Not a place for foreigners lol
This place was more of a resort with a pool, very nice grounds, a lovely restaurant (although it was closed for a private function when we were there so couldn’t try it). We had a large room with a basic bathroom, shower and toilet.

United StatesThe location is far away from everything, taxi chargers were very high $$$$ ( be careful with the driver ask first and have cash ) taxi is the only way to reach out to the Villa. Not bus line around or nearby. The last day we call for a taxi and it was bad ……look the attached picture. Not internet connection for I- phone we were told. And breakfast can be better Just ( bread 🥯 coffee and juice 🧃) the bedroom and bathroom floor was dusted. They can do a better job cleaning daily.

United KingdomOn the day we stayed we went to sit around the pool to which we were told we couldn't unless we had booked the beds in advance, we weren't told this beforehand but not much of an issue as the gardens had more beds to sit on. What was an issue is that we were then told that the restaurant would be closed that evening for a private party and we wouldn't be able to get anything to eat, and there was nothing in walking distance either. We wasn't informed of this when we checked in we only found out when we asked what time the restaurant opened for evening meals. We ended up having to us Deliveroo to get something to eat and eat it on a table away from the private party of guests that had taken over the whole restaurant and gardens.
The hotel rooms were very nice and clean. Gardens and pool area was large enough so you're not on top of one another. The food served at lunch was nice and also the bar service was good although a little difficult to communicate with the staff.

United StatesNo bar No restaurant No use of the pool The ac unit sounded like a dishwasher the the rince cycle all night. It stated on the booking app check out was from 10 to 11 but we had to leave by 10. Unclear statement. Went out for breakfast but no one there to greet you or anything. It was just one family eating and me standing aroud waiting to be helped but nothing. None of the amenities were open to use. No taxis would come there.
The guy who appeared to be the manager personally gave my wife and i a ride to the port for our Cruze. That was super cool and nice of him and we tipped him for it because no cabs would xome out there. The pool looked nice but we couldn't swim in it at like 630 pm due to them stating no lifeguards on duty, that was kinda weird.comfy beds though.

United StatesI didn’t find it all that welcoming unfortunately. There wasn’t staff anywhere. There was a friendly older gentleman I think he could have owned the place. The second day there was a lady and she asked if we wanted our room clean. You have to have a car to stay here there is no transportation and no one to ask anything. There was a party until after midnight being international traveler it made it hard to rest.
It’s a beautiful place !!!

CanadaWe could have access to amenities and room construction could have been complete, and it would have been nice if taxi were available from our accommodation.
We arrive thinking a swim and supper at on sit location were going to be so wonderful and relaxing, but unknow to us a wedding had been booked so the grounds( which over looked harbor which we thought was going to be o cool for a first night relax) and pool were not open to us . So after a 30 hour travel day we had o try and get a Taxi to down town for supper staff called us a cab we waited 30 min no taxi, so one of the owners or staff gave us a ride to town center and a little tour so we could find taxi stand at the end of the evening which helped to make us feel better. A lovely meal at Baffone made us feel much better they get 5 stars from us wonderful meal and evening. Our host then gave us a ride to cruise ship next day it was a lovely town and stayng there before a cruise is convenient and helps ensure a better travel experience . North MacedoniaThe place organizes events as a primary business. At the night we arrived, they had a private party and there was loud music and noise until late in the night. They advertized there was free wigi, but the wifi wasn't working. They sent a video on how to do self check-in through whatsup, which was unclear., so he had to ask for help from the staff organizing the party
The room was plain and basic, but clean, comfortable beds

United KingdomI booked the hotel as it had a swimming pool. We arrived too late to use it in the evening and was told that we were not allowed in the pool in the morning before we checked out. There were croissants and coffee outside in a bar area, but it was made clear these were not for our breakfast. When we left nobody offered to order a taxi, a lovely passer by stopped his car and told my son and I to get in with our large suitcase, he was angry at the hotel for not helping us.
