The restaurant could have had longer opening hours.

The hotel is located on a hill about a 10-minute walk from the center of Malcesine. It's quiet and secluded yet still close to the center, which suited us well. The breakfast served was good and there was something for everyone. There is a nice pool which we used. The staff were very friendly and spoke German and English as well as Italian. They always greeted us with a smile. The rooms and common areas were perfectly clean at all times.

We stayed in Villa Smeralda for five nights and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and we had a beautiful lake view. The breakfast was excellent and fresh every day! Staff members warmly welcomed us and gave us a lot of good tips on what to do in Malcesine. The rooftop terrace and the pool area were also wonderful! Location was reachable by walking from the port, the bus station and the old town. The lake and the beach is also easy to reach by walking.

It was a little walk from the Centre, but no problem to walk in.

There was only one English speaking TV channel on the TV.

We liked how clean and tidy the property was. The amazing and friendly staff made us feel welcome. We loved the peace and quiet allowing us to relax and rest.

Friendly Staff. The minute you arrive they greet with the biggest smile and continued with the entire time. Always helpful. Especially Katie. Location with great views of Lake Garda. Super clean with beautiful decor through the entire property. I would highly recommend Hotel Villa Smeralda

Amazing view, great breakfast with plenty of options. The pool was quite big (as big as on the pictures) and the terrace was was also nice. Free parking was a plus, despite the short/steep walk.

Hard to find. I wish there were better directions to the hotel. We ended up on a very small road that brought us up the hill above the hotel. Don't follow your gps. Though it is possible to walk into Malcesine, it would be about 15-20 minutes down a steep road with little room for cars to move.

Beautiful view from the small balcony. Comfortable bed and quiet. Relatively easy parking on site just up the road. Breakfast had a good assortment of offerings.

There's little external signage, we walked past it twice before we realised it was there. The dinner menu is fairly limited and has a German bias.

We loved breakfast and the friendly staff there. It was an amazing variety of food. We loved the view while breakfast and dinner. It's no big deal, but a warmer pool wouldn't hurt :-) We are definitely coming back!!!

Our room was very small, one of those rooms with little space between the end of the bed and the wall.The balcony was also small and seemed to get very little sun (we were out and about a lot) so I would avoid 217 if you can! Also the hill up to the property can get a little tiring when doing it repeatedly, but that's the price for great views I suppose 🙂

Hotel was quiet and very clean. It had stunning views of Malcesine and the lake, even when sunning ourselves by the pool. Towels are provided for the pool. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed. The bed was very comfortable, despite it being too short for my husband he slept well! The shower was hot and powerful. Cati and Catrina were very friendly, chatty and helpful. It was a 10 minute stroll down to the centre of Malcesine and the bus station for day trips and excursions. The hotel also provided transfers for us to and from the airport at an extra charge. I would stay here again but in a larger room

No complaints at all.

The hotel was lovely and clean with extremely helpful and friendly staff, who couldn’t do enough for you. The views were exceptional and getting the lake view balcony really paid off.

We felt like in Germany an not in Italy. This hotel is probably used by Germans preferably.
