How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Cozy room, good location (close to supermarket, cafe, restaurants, beach), nice pool, also parking available. Also very nice outdoor area. Incredibly nice and helpful host.

The rooms are very noisy, the doors are loud when you close them. Check in is in timeframe, communication regarding it was lacking but in the end we didnt have to pay the fee for late checkout.
The villa was very nice with a beatiful garden and nice swimming pool.

Alberto is a very good host. He explained everything very good and helps. The accommodation was nice with the pool outside. 2 minutes drive to the center of Giardini Naxos and 15 minutes drive to Taormina.

The service here is amazing, and the guy that is running the place is extremly nice and welcoming. The room is clean and its a short walk to the beach. You also have every thing you need close by to where you are staying.

Finish of rooms and facilities have a feeling of shortcuts were taken during construction. Room lighting rather clinical. Room lacks shelves in the bathroom for your stuff.
Friendly and helpful host, plenty of space. Parking. Great breakfast at the bar they partner with.

Just two things: We could hear the road noise from the road. There were no hooks - e.g. to dry towels, swimwear and hang coats in the room.
Alberto was very helpful and communication was top notch. He thought of everything that we would need and gave great recommendations.

The car entrance and exit at the corner was not convenient. The gate should be more recessed within the property to allow a car to be outside without being on the street.

Given the fact the filters in my search for accommodation included parking and breakfast, I was disapointed to learn the breakfast only was available in high season and that parking was charged €5 per day. The free wifi did not work and should either be fixed or removed from the list og facilities.
The host Alberto was extreamly helpfull and did what he could to make us feel welcome and gave us usefull hints on both restaurants and sights.

Unfortunately the room was super noisy! We could hear every cough, sneeze, word spoken from those in the next room and outside the room. Including keys jangling, phones ringing, doors slamming. We woke up multiple times throughout the night!
Antonio was super friendly, welcoming and accommodating (especially as we booked last minute and turned up late!). The room was spotlessly clean.

The only downside is the location. It is not the easiest to walk from there to Giardini Naxos town/ beach etc because of the main roads. And a 15m drive to Taormina. But then the hotel is a good, reasonable price (compared to Taormina) to drive from and explore nearby areas.
Alberto is a lovely host, he sent us lots of useful recommendations and he really made our stay. It's a very nice hotel, with clean comfortable rooms and a nice pool area.

I don’t like a round bed to sleep in.
Alberto gave good tips for food and restaurants. Nice little bakery around the corner! And the coffee place had good corneto and cappuccino.

- sometimes you can hear the noise from other rooms - you have to pay extra for the parking - ants can easily reach your room - located pretty far from restaurants, however we recommend Il Gato nerro - very good food and close to the location

Alberto went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He was reachable at any time should sth come up.The accommodation was very clean and in a great location to venture out and plan day trips. We absolutely loved our stay.
