The location really is perfect. You have a private beach and restaurants are in walking distance. The staff makes you feel at home and is very helpful with everything. I definitely will come again!!

Nothing. Just know there are some stairs to take to get to the hotel. And getting there from Amalfi with public transport can be a bit tricky - but the staff can help you with a shuttle (taxi or boat) if needed.

Where do I start… the staff is very welcoming and make you feel at home immediately. They are very helpful - also with restaurant recommendations and even reservation! The place itself is beautiful and with little details. Not too big so it feels exclusive. The rooms are clean and spacious with a good AC. The breakfast is good with an amazing view! Our personal highlight was the private water access - a lot of stairs but totally worth it! Thank you for a wonderful (and way too short) stay!

The property has a perfect location, you feel secluded with your own private beach but very close to the town of Amalfi. Salvatore and his staff take care of every single detail to make you feel confortable. Organizing trips by boat or taxi, recomending restaurants walking distance or even cooking for you in the villa if you feel like having dinner in the stunning terrace. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Not easy access. We came by bus and was a bit of a walk around to the property. A lot of steps but the staff were helpful and carried them down for us.

The veil was breathtaking the private beach area was stunning . The only thing was I thought I’d booked a room with private hottie but I didn’t, so had to use the communal one but still lovely. The staff are amazing nothing was too much trouble. The one guy walked with us to us where the restaurant was. We also asked for some ice for our room and they did us an ice bucket and brought it to our room.

The property was so nice. You have a nice view around the coastal. The staff is so friendly we felt like we were included in the familiy after the minute we arrived. The breakfast is all fresh made and served at a time you are feeling comfortable. One of the best was the private beach. Well it's a big walk but you feel private and can rest there a lot. We will come back for sure and will stay longer.

We had a great 7 night stay here. We had a fantastic welcome to the property from Salvatore, who was excellent throughout our stay. The property is only accessible via steps, with no lifts, but Gerardo and Jimmy carried our luggage without any hesitation. Special thanks to Salvatore and Jimmy who were so warm and welcoming. Salvatore was so friendly and helpful, providing lots of recommendations and advice. Jimmy was very friendly and always made sure we were looked after. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and made even better by the beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast.

The property can only be accessed down a steep set of steps, this is common in the area but was a task when it was soo hot.

Santa Maria is in a quiet corner of Amalfi, we stayed in room 8 which has a private garden with hot tub and is set away from the rest of the Villa, perfect for us and just what we wanted.

This was one of the best places I’ve stayed at—worth even more for the value vs some of fancier hotels. Salvatore was great and so helpful. Breakfast was a highlight (made to order!) and the room was spacious and well air conditioned. The views were unparalleled; this place had multiple options including a deck with cushioned lounge chairs, a spa, shaded areas, and a private access point for the sea. On the first day, we were able to take a dingy to a local restaurant with access from the beach only. We walked to town every time, which took about 30 min. It’s great exercise, but I would recommend that you be in walking shape or rent a scooter. Don’t think you are taking a taxi or an uber to town—that is just something to know visiting the Amalfi coast.

Only one small recommendation for the property is to change the mattress / add a topper as the bed was incredibly hard.

Simply stunning location, views incredible and the No8 villa highly recommended.. private garden & hot tub plus terrace with sea views every morning from your own bed! Staff were incredible, so attentive and welcoming nothing was too much trouble.. we truly loved our stay and will be sure to return 💗

My stay at Villa Santa Maria in Amalfi was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm hospitality and genuine care. When in Amalfi be prepared to walk and climb steps...there's not so much you won't like if you want a great location...there are 150 steps going down to the property and 15 more to the lobby...but worth the climb and descend everyday.

The location is just fabulous. The property is right on cliffs edge in Amalfi. You could go all the way down to the sea if you like. Daily breakfast outside overlooking the Mediterranean. Can't go wrong! Staff were amazing...Salvatore, Jimmy & Angelo were a great hosting team.

There is nothing to dislike but you need to be aware that this Villa is perched on a steep hillside so there are many steps. Some of our group are older and some have mobility issues but we all got up and down the steps every day just by being careful. If it wasn’t for the position of the property you would not have the fabulous views and peace and quiet. Breathtaking.

I liked everything about this property. The window in our room opened out to the sea at sunrise. It was wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully clean and well appointed. It was amazingly quiet and peaceful. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere as beautiful. The staff all made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Salvatore, the boss, did everything to make our stay the best it could be. He booked our trips and gave us good advice and information about places to visit. I’d go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.
