Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing I didn't like was the fact that the journey to Bari Centrale on the bus was long, 45/50 min each way and the road where the property is located is a bit deserted in the evening. This property is in Santo Spirito, not really next door to Bari Centrale or Bari Vecchia (the old town). However, that did not stop us going to the centre and to the more tourist areas. There is also a train station you can use, but you had to walk about 2 km for that. The bus stop was just outside the door. If you are coming back by bus at night I would recommend you check the name of the bus stop (fermata) you have to get off at. They have names and the bus shows them and tells you what the next one is. We got a bit lost one evening and it was difficult to recognise the landmarks in the dark! We were lucky and had help from 2 different bus drivers who took us back to where we needed to be.
We enjoyed everything about this B&B. We arrived very early and had a very flexible check in, just had to wait 30 min so they could clean the room. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were excellent. The balcony was an added bonus. We really enjoyed sitting outside facing the beautiful garden this property has. The breakfast was good, there was a good variety of food and the coffee excellent (as you would expect in Italy!) Massimiliano, the owner, was very pleasant, helpful and was always there if we needed anything. If he wasn't there you could text him on WhatsApp and he replied promptly. The automatic door and gate were very good at night, we could go out and get back at any time. We went to a very nice restaurant one evening, L'Incanto, by the sea and walking distance from the property. It was recommended by Massimiliano and the food was excellent, specially the sea food.

United StatesNothing stands out. The only hiccup in our stay was the folks that had our room wanted to stay an extra 2 nights so Antonella put us in the larger room next door for those nights then moved our stuff to the new room when it was open. Zero difference in the view and she had us set up when we returned from our day excursion. Not really a hassle at all.
We booked 6 nights here to be our "base camp" for the Amalfi coast/Pompeii/Naples excursions and couldn't have been happier with the decision. The property is located up in the Amalfi Coast hills 5 minutes from the charming town of Agerola. Family owned and operated, the opposite of corporate. The Path of the Gods trailhead is a very close by in Agerola. We were basically an hour drive to Pompeii, 1.5 to Naples, hour to Sorrento. You will absolutely need a car to utlize this property as it is off the main highway and there is no public transportation close by. Parking was ok on the road, but on a hill and tight. The benefit of the location is that it was central to many things, secluded, quiet and a beautiful view from our balcony (see first pic w/clouds). The breakfast was typical Italian B&B fare, coffee was good, staff super friendly.

HungaryMaybe slight changes in the breakfast from one day to another. If all rooms come down for breakfast at the same time a one man kitchen show is not enough.

ItalyEverything was perfect
We recently spent a week at this charming 3-star hotel, and I must say it exceeded all our expectations, delivering a true 4-star experience. As frequent travelers, we know what makes a stay memorable, and this hotel certainly hit all the marks. Despite its 3-star rating, the level of service and comfort we received was nothing short of exceptional. The owner and the cleaning lady are clearly dedicated to their work, ensuring that everything is spotless and that guests feel welcomed and cared for. Their commitment to their job really shone through, making our stay even more enjoyable. One thing that surprised us was how many people seem to use this hotel for short stays. While it’s perfect for a quick getaway, it’s equally ideal for a longer stay, like our week-long retreat. The hotel is perfectly located, close to charming small towns and just a short distance from the beach. Plus, it’s within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and even a hairdresser, making it incredibly convenient. In hindsight, our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. This hotel truly is a hidden gem, offering much more than what you might expect from a 3-star establishment. We can’t wait to return and stay even longer next time!
